#genuary10 + #genuary20 = one line in polar coordinates.
Ok, I know there are actually two separate lines, but the point is that each one can be traced as continuous bezier spline. And I get shading for free from p5.js triangulation, how neat is that!

Completing a prompt each day takes too much time, so I'm trying to combine multiple prompts into one artwork. Here is #genuary5 write genuary + #genuary6 lights on/off

Movement is driven by an elastic easing function, producing anticipation and overshoot, and squash/stretch is influenced by each box's acceleration. Colors chosen by sampling golden spiral in HSL, so it also counts for #genuary3 fibonacci

I decided to try p5.js again. Will be publishing my works with a source code, you can find this one here github.com/codedpalette...
Happy new year everyone, and productive and inspiring Genuary to us all!
Had a crazy couple of months, but we're finally settled in Portugal, and Silksong is 100%-ed, so it's time to breathe out and reorient. Thinking of participating in this coming #genuary, hoping it'll go better than the past one (I got burnt out on day 1 😔). What are your aspirations for the 2026?
Lately most of my time has been consumed by preparations for the Big Move (we're moving abroad in a month or so). So my wife and I decided to make a checklist of all local things we wanted to do before. Today we went out to paint ceramic cups.
Been struggling with a nasty case of cold this week, so no gamedev-related progress. Instead, here’s one really cute pillow cover that my wife has been crocheting for the past month, and one pic of my cat, Alma
Some accelerometer shenanigans would be definitely cool! I need to buy some sensor kit and play with a couple of them. Shopping is actually the worst part of this hobby: this little thing costs like 10$, why I gotta wait like 3 weeks and pay twice this on shipping to play with a shiny new thing :(
Playing with #Arduino and touchscreen shield. Lots of fun going close to bare metal after working only with high-level PLs for a decade. Thinking of implementing some small (Tetris/Snake sized) game next
Very nice, I really like your art style, it’s minimal but clean. I’ve also recently started the 20 games challenge, currently on the first one, still learning the ropes. Good luck to you on your journey!
Or, better yet, don’t rely on auto-generated node names and use groups, or set node paths explicitly.
I have a better idea: S
Software
You just download it and keep it. When you make money with it you donate some of it back so support it
Oh wait
Good luck! Although beware, programming GOD might be an anti-pattern 😁 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_obj...
If you don't have a lot of coding experience I recommend starting with GDScript. It's pretty similar to python, has better engine integration, more docs/tutorials and is dynamically typed, which makes it easier to start with (although I would still recommend learning about static typing asap)
C# support is builtin in godot, you just need to download the .net version of engine. You can find more info on differences and limitations of C# here docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tu..., hope that helps!
Is the text match case-sensitive, and is the space between terms necessary?
Hey, my name is Daniel, and I'm just starting out on my gamedev journey. I recently finished my first game for the GMTK jam. It's called Beatnik and you can check it out here monkeyroar.itch.io/beatnik. I'd love to connect with other hobbyist developers, so if you're a newbie like me - hit me up!
Also, not too long ago I finished my first game! It was for a GMTK game jam, and it's called Beatnik. It's a rather short but fun rhythm-based puzzle, and you can check it here monkeyroar.itch.io/beatnik
Heya, it's time for #intro post! My name is Daniel and recently I've decided to reignite my childhood passion for making video games. I'll be sharing my gamedev journey here (and probably some CG/electronics stuff), and if you're just starting out like me I'd be happy to connect!
