There was an episode of Captain Planet where the episode-ending message was "When you have a family, keep it small!" Okay, the Planeteers say I shouldn't have too many kids. This nine-year-old will file that away for later.
There were some novels based on NES games. I got the Blaster Master book at the school book fair, despite never having played the game (I still haven't).
Everyone loves Mr. Snuffleupagus! But it's hard to spell his name. We collected some of our favorite ways people have misspelled "Snuffleupagus" online. Which one is your favorite?

Soaring Gas Prices Forcing More Americans To Drink Less Gas
My family went to the KFC drive-thru to order this. My mom gave our order, and the KFC employee cheerfully said "Okay, that'll just take about 50 minutes."
I think we ended up eating at Subway.
These all showed up in my Discover tab. That's how I learned about that post.
It all worked out in the end!
This Shake Shack has outdoor seating.
And I think he was there to order the chili cheese fries.
Yesterday at Shake Shack I saw a little girl singing "Somewhere in My Memory" from Home Alone to a grackle. It was oddly sweet.
I feel a smug sense of superiority every time I catch a desk bang or microphone bump on my podcast and edit it out.
I once knew a guy who liked to talk about rich people and how much they were "pulling down" per year. I wonder how much he's pulling down these days.
Cheerios is a good cereal!
Or should that be "Cheerios are a good cereal?"

When I watched it, I kept waiting for the dropoff, and it never happened except for one storyline, but I was so engaged by the others that it didn't matter.

Now, more than ever before, when I watch a movie (or a TV series) with a romance element, I really root for people who are attracted to each other to get together. I want to see them smile at each other and kiss. It's nice to see glimmers of light and happiness these days.
Not until we know where Shawn Harrison was when George H.W. Bush threw up on Prime Minister Miyazawa.
There's nothing like the dread that accompanies a senior relative asking you for tech support.
"I can see the birds in different songs"
*checks notes* oh shit I haven’t been taking notes, where are my notes
pictures of Gonzo look better? Maybe? Maybe not. But now I hate the idea of using it and it makes me feel crazy.
on us, those two letters have started popping up in places they didn't used to be. For years I've been using a simple free online tool to occasionally brighten images for Tough Pigs, and a few months ago the website added "AI" to its name without any other changes. Was it always using AI to make
I wonder, was it ever? I'm staunchly opposed to the current over-use of crappy, unethical generative AI, but I'm aware that a significant amount of technology I've used for years would accurately be described as "artificial intelligence." But now that the tech companies are so desperate to push it
I only ordered one from Jason's Deli.
I ate a cookie. It was good.
6th grade, last day of the grading period. Teachers gathered three classes together and told us we were going to watch a Laserdisc about molds and funguses, and we all groaned. They pressed play... It was the Disney adventure movie White Fang! Gasps and cheers! A brilliant prank.
I hate cold-calling anyone, but I just called the offices of both of my senators and my representative to tell them they have to do something to stop our out-of-control president. Will it work? I don't know. But it feels more active than complaining on social media. I encourage you to do the same.
