that's quite a record to just have sitting in the racks!

aww, thanks Brogues! now I have an extra reason to make it out to Glasgow this summer!
My favorite record that I picked up on RSD wasn't an RSD release - it was this absolutely gorgeous LP of a 1958 Donald Byrd set recorded for French radio at Jazz Festival de Cannes released by SAM a few years ago. Top notch sound, brilliant packaging - SAM LPs are always amazing, top recommendation!
And do let me know if there’s any US stuff you missed
Yes please! And if you know anyone with an extra of that Soup Dragons GGP lathe cut…

Ripper!
Oh for sure, I don’t mess with that at all. I’m just thinking of non-RSD stuff that’s too limited or just impossible to get here in the US
It used to bum me out more -- I'd set an alarm for 2am and still miss this or that pre-order -- but I just kind of let it go now. I've got lots of good records already!
There's so much about collecting that I've just given up on. Most of what I want comes out of the UK and between stuff being hyper limited and going up for sale at hours that are brutal for me, and postage being so insane, it's almost impossible.
It's not like I don't wind up spending 1/3 of my day on social fucking media, it's so annoying to have not even heard about it. We carried one of those signs all the way back to Oakland!
OMG where did you get this? I need it!
I never get tired of seeing these in the wild!
If anyone has an extra or knows a shop that does pls let me know and thank you.
The best!
Revisiting this jammer to get my Friday in gear. It's been a week.
