If every other battery-operated item maker, like tool makers, made things, we'd be battery locked on every device.
I think it's time to start pushing the tool-making industry for change.

The level of bull is mind-numbing. The Republican Party wasn't trying to pass a budget; they were trying to pass a 7-week CR (continuing resolution).

Apparently I need to re-lean python again. Doing manually in Excel what 4 years ago I would have automated with Python. The problem is I don't have the time to re-lean today.

Took too long. But finally got 95% of the stuff planted. Will probably finish tomorrow (couple random starts).

Interesting. Apparently at some point the article I wrote for The Linux Journal for imported to ACM's digital library. It has 384 downloads.

First one this year. Beeswax paper fire starter (coffee filters with hand plane shavings) worked great. Once I threw a big enough spark off my fire steel.

3 ounces each. Extra went on a small pour. I also drop some of the over pour in the mains before it sets.

All waxed/oiled. Used my 4:1 raw linseed beeswax that I make. Softer than my old 3:1 recipe. Worked good. If you want to know more about the wax ask me.

Epoxy came out good. Ends should be sealed to sit on the ground. I wonder if i.cpuld have done that with wood glue instead. But I like the result.

I didn't take pictures of applying the epoxy. But now a 24 hour wait. These should be done by Monday.

Finally got enough wood moved to get to the back wall. And first thing I did, cut the board a 1/16 too short.

Cutting a 2x4 like this is slow. But it is what I have / can get access too. My bench has limited space, and my circular saw is unreachable due to all the wood stacked up

The elders in my family used to laugh at the youngers. A regular thing for us was to eat cold pizza with room-temperature pop. Now I'm not like my cousin who left it out overnight (the pop) and drank it as long as it still fizzed.

But cold pizza and room-temperature pop is lunch
