Can't do that to Scottie

Tiger Woods sitting with ANGC Chairman Hootie Johnson and Jim Nantz in Butler Cabin
With no amateur making the cut, if Rory wins I believe it will just be him in Butler cabin a la Tiger with Hootie Johnson in 2002. Let him bring a guest!
This is in the right direction. You could pick anyone in the clubhouse on Sunday afternoon. Personally don't see why the caddy couldn't do it. I don't need to see Fred Ridley involved. Like why isn't the caddy in Butler Cabin anyway.
If the reigning champ wins the Masters, the Augusta Chairman presents the winner with the jacket, but there should be a better way.
Estrella will be a star
Awesome! Glad somebody got some use out of it.
Stay tuned for the awarding of the Champion Ball-Knower of the Year in the coming days.
Well, it's over. 6300 games in the books. Teams that finished with the preseason rank they started at: Kansas (21), Arkansas State (147), Appalachian State (195), Niagara (337), Canisius (342), Coppin State (363), and Mississippi Valley State (365). Congrats to all of them.
Michigan is just the 4th champion since 1997 to have a better defensive rating than offensive rating
I will always think of that football-style inbounds play Michigan just ran as The Dan McQuade Play. It's one of my favorite college basketball blogs of his, and Greg Kampe is a great character. defector.com/greg-kampes-...
close!
Michigan made a 3, but they could still get the worst 3P% in a title game (9%) if they want.
There's never been a title game with a 3-point line where a team didn't make a 3.
Which I realize is not deep insight, but it's a really good sign for Michigan.
Michigan is 0-for-8 on 3's and still winning by 4.
Not good!
The Year of the Blowout concludes tonight with game number 6,300. Percentage of games between top 50 teams that were decided by at least 20 points:

List of coaches having multiple finishes with the top offense since 1997:
K 7
Few 4
Roy 3
Skip Prosser 2
Brad Underwood 2*
But if Underwood finishes the deal this season, he'd be the first to do it with 2 different programs. I'm begging you to put some respect on his name.
Predictions….
Illinois-UConn: Breeding, Pettigrew, Szelc
Arizona-Michigan: Anderson, Kissinger, Shows
Monday: Groover, Sirmons, Kimble
Alts: Cassell, Nixon

Jeffrey Anderson (8)
Paul Szelc (10)

I doubt it was intentional but nonetheless a useful data point
Insta loss
it does not cap margin
There's talk about how the NET incentivizes running up the score and so there's more of that these days, but great teams just run up the score naturally, whether there's incentive or not.
A lot of conflicted fans out there for this one
Last one was Nova in 2018 (also 2015 Duke, 2012 Kentucky)
This marks the 16th consecutive season that the preseason AP #1 does not win the title.
Biggest news of the first half was Kenny Lofton's hole-in-one on the 400 yard 9th hole at Augusta
