To be honest, it might have come from the Clock app but I'll defend it to my death. Gimme all the sleep.

I mean, does this mean I'm blogging again?

I read somewhere that the 'you need 8 hours of sleep' idea came from studies done on men, which also determined that women need 10. They kept that quiet...

Yeah, it really sucks when other people steal your work, doesn’t it?

It’s true, am a huge fan of @diftk.bsky.social because it’s all good people (and leadership!) 😊 Also thinking about community building for ADHD writers and very much wanting to avoid Meta

Fanny Craddock: Samurai Thatcher

Fanny Craddock: Samurai Thatcher

I can’t recommend the weird, almost body-horror gruesomeness of this episode on mincemeat enough, but my biggest takeaway is that Fanny Craddock appears to have perfected an aesthetic that can only be described as “Samurai Thatcher”.

More protein helps me, along with batch cooking for the freezer when I can manage it. Protein breakfast. 2l of water a day. Weekly “menu” for kids to avoid decision fatigue.

I’m sorry Kavey, this sounds rubbish. Have a recommendation for private if you decide to go that way.

Autism and other neurodivergent traits can be socially oroblematic. Being able to explain that your divergent response and behaviour has a cause can defuse tension and offence from people who read the situation as rudeness etc. These weasels appropriating it harms the real community.

I’m only a failure by human standards. if I was a children’s book badger in an apron I’d be like “whoa this house is massive, and I own so many cheeses and jams.”

I don’t mind cold so much (swim outdoors in UK winter etc) but once the temperature starts to rise, I basically melt. Sweaty, brain fogged mess, completely disregulated, foul tempered. I loathe summer.

#kidlit authors are going to reign supreme, because they’ve done their time in the fiery crucible of school visits
