Every time you click “forgot password”…
that’s a warning sign.
It usually means:
• No system
• No ownership
• No recovery plan
That’s exactly what scammers rely on.
A proper local setup removes this chaos completely.
Simple > clever. Always.

Quick reality check for local businesses 👇
If your setup relies on more than 3 international tools… (Usually US)
you’re not in control — you’re renting your business.
Most people don’t realise how exposed they are until something breaks.
Want a quick audit? DM me “CHECK”.
But electing independent representatives is only the first step.

I wrote this a couple of months ago. But I am starting to share it more publicly - so I thought I should post about it here and publish it around the place - #POSSE style

And everyday Australians—the people who live with the consequences—are sidelined from decisions about their future.
The "Teal" and Community Independents movement proved that Australians hunger for something better: integrity, evidence-based policy, genuine independence, and community voice.

## The Problem We Can't Ignore
Australian democracy faces a crisis of legitimacy. Trust in politicians sits at historic lows. Permanent campaigning rewards short-term thinking. Major parties remain captured by vested interests. /

This month, I’m helping 3 local businesses in Glen Eira and Port Phillip go "Sovereign." We’ll audit your tech stack, reduce your international data exposure, and move you toward tools you actually own. If you’re ready to go local and go people, DM me "LOCAL" and let’s grab a coffee.

There’s a myth that "Big Tech" is more secure because they are big. In reality, their complexity is their weakness. Open-source tools are transparent—thousands of eyes can see the code, meaning vulnerabilities are found and fixed by the community, not hidden by a corporate PR department.

Let’s keep our hardware running longer with local expertise.

Digital sovereignty isn't just about software; it’s about the physical tools we use. Why buy a "disposable" laptop from a global chain when you can source, repair, and upgrade locally?
Reducing the "international upgrade cycle" is better for your wallet and the planet. /
So annoying when you walk 10 minutes to a coffee shop to find it is actually closed. Doesn't look like it even opened today. Poor form #google #googlemaps #googlebusinessprofile #hours #closedsign #frustrated #disappointed

and teaching her the "red flags," we’ve turned a stressful situation into a lesson in digital empowerment.
If you or a small business owner you know feels "exposed" by their current tech setup, don't wait for a scam to happen. Let’s get you secure now.

She didn't need an AI chatbot; she needed a human she could trust to sit down, audit her accounts, secure her digital identity, and provide peace of mind.
Digital Sovereignty isn't just about fancy software—it's about having a local safety net. By moving her toward more secure, transparent tools /
The Human Side of Local Tech
This is why "Local" matters.
I recently spent time with a local resident in South Yarra who had been targeted by a sophisticated scam. When these things happen, the "Big Tech" providers offer nothing but automated help articles and "no-reply" email addresses. /
It is Time to do that in all Australian Cities. ULEZ by 2030 and congestion in Melbourne and Sydney that already have amazing PT.
I learnt we don't have a emission standard for heavy vehicles! That is poor form, and any wonder our air quality is so bad in the city. London by contrast has amazing air quality since ULEZ and congestion zone was introduced.
Zenube that is vertically integrated
3. The axle weight problem - simple policy that overrides local councils, but promises to contribute if the EVs ruin the roads... Only for EVs - so the air quality improves in built up areas, which would be amazing!
/
- fix via government backed secured loans, with the trucks going to the Gov if the business goes bust - then sold back to the market
2. The charging infrastructure - but that is fairly easy to do off grid, I think, especially up the Hume - so needs demand for Lumnia to do it, or a player like /
