Exceptional day birding starting with Lesser white throat, Sedge Warblers & first Willow Warbler of the year. Then to Westleton Heath for the very showy Iberian Chiffy & a obliging Nightingale. Then to Hazelwood for the Osprey Black & Bar Tailed Godwits adding six more species to the Suffolk list.

Good day had by all today good views of every thing seen. Nightingales, Ring Ouzel, exceptionally Common Tern, Whimbrel,in 2 locations Red kite, Common White Throat, heard Sedge, & Reed Warblers but didn't see due to the wind, added 5 species to our Suffolk list.

Visited Carlton Marshes in the Spring sunshine this morning good to see a Drake Ferruginous Duck after standing waiting for an hour and a half for it to show, a fine pair of Garganey and a good selection of other birds. Also good to see the Slow worms back in the compost bin.

Good day even thou the fog at Minsmere was heavy. Highlights of the day very showy Bearded tit's,& Cetti's, 2 Spoonbills, singing Chiffy, Male Black Redstart, at the sluice, Kingfisher, 3 Gooseander, Water pipit,Med Gull, Little & Great Egrets, Woodlark, Green Woodpecker, just to name a few.

Enjoyable day in the warm sunshine, first bird of the day was a lovely Bramling, in a rather large Chaffinch flock, then on to Westleton heath for Woodlark. Dartford Warblers, we then picked up a bonus of two Ravens, 1 single Scoter of Dunwich Beach, finished the day with a single Ruff at Botany.

At least a dry day for another trip to lowestoft for the Humes Warbler, fine views to be had. Large flock of Green finches & a close Guillemot on the sea, dipped the Black Redstart, Finished the day at Minsmere for 2 Firecrests nice flock of Red polls, Marsh tit, Yellow hammer.

Enjoyable day in North Suffolk starting at Ness point with a colour ringed Rock pipit, Male Eider South, Red Throated Diver North, 2 Purple Sands, thanks to Peter Ransome for the Purple Sands, An unusual Red Legged Partridge in a compound Grey Partridge at Ellough,and 2 Crossbills at Westleton

Nice to see the Twite at Reydon marshes today feeding well on the river wall, then onward to Kessingland to get good views of the shore larks and snow Buntings, also a lovely Red Kite flew over the A12 on way home.

Enjoyed birding at Boyton marshes today in a bitterly cold wind, highlights today were Goldcrest, Tundra Bean Geese, Cattle Egret, first Chiffchat of the year, and good to see Little Owl.

Another good day sunny but bitterly cold, several good birds seen highlights Scaup, Lovely Bullfinches, Pochards, and more Woodcocks.

Good Start to the new year with 63 species seen highlights were Temmincks stint, Water pipit a very showy kingfisher and finish the day on Westleton heath with at least 10 Woodcock seen.

Our last day in the Shetlands, highlights were Steppe Grey Shrike, Humes Warbler, Waxwing, Red Breasted Fly, Ring Necked Duck, Northern Longtailed tit's, Northern Bullfinch, and the real highlight of the holiday was seeing the Northern lights.

Good 2nd day birding on Shetland started the day from cottage Blackcaps, Waxwing,Chiffchaffs, Wheatear,many Redwings, then on Kergow, woodcock, Northern Bullfinch, Greywag, Goldcrests,& more Blackcaps to many to count, Bramblings, Redpolls,Fieldfares,but dipped the Blackfaced Bunting.

Exceptional day out, starting with around 50+ crossbills on westleton heath, a lovely singing wood Lark, onto carlton marshes for glossy ibis, then finish with Yellow browed warbler at Aldeburgh, & a long time since I've seen a Fly Agric as large and immaculate condition

Good day on Dunwich Heath birding, plenty seen, a very showy Red Tailed Shrike, a crisp Yellow Browed Warbler. Five cracking Bull Finches, W T Eagle over, a close in Razor Bill, and nice to see lots of friendly faces.

It was nice to go birding after a 6 wk break due to personal reasons. It was good to catch up with some familiar faces for the Zitting Cisticola, then to ATM where we got Greenshank, Green, Common, Woodsands Ruff Yellow wag,Golden Plover,Whimbrel,SpKnot,Thanks to Adam for finding Curlew Sand.

Another stunning day here in Croatia birds of note good views of Eastern Orphean Warbler, Blue rock thrush loads red back shrikes Golden Oriole's Black headed Buntings, just a few to mention, plus more wild flowers & came across this tortoise on our walk in the mountains.

Six more birds to our Suffolk list, Black Winged Stilt, Whimbrel, Hobby, Swifts
Red Footed Falcon, Wood Sand , no birding tomorrow as getting ready for our holiday to Croatia.

Another excellent Sunday bird watching, Purple Heron eventually gave us views, Reed Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Bearded Tit, exceptional views of a singing Nightingale, and nice to see an early swarm of bees.

Exceptional day and a half spring birding around Suffolk, starting with Wheatear, Little ringed Plovers, Garden Warbler, Redstart, Cuckoo, Spotted Redshank, Bartailed Godwits, Black Tern, Common Tern, a Lovely Male Whinchat, and then to finish cracking views of a Grasshopper Warbler.

Good day birding in West suffolk, several Red Kites, lovely tree sparrows, then on to Lackford for Redpolls, fantastic water rail under the feeders, showing well, plus Nuthatch, Coal tit, Song Thrush, then onto Brandon Country Park and finish the day with 2 Firecrests.

Good day all round, starting with 6 Hawfinches at Sotterley and then onto Ellough for 7 Grey Partridges, then to Henham quarry for 5 Cattle Egrets, then to Thorpeness for 7 Velvet Scoters close in then onto the meare only to find it frozen solid not a bad day
