wow this thing is old school... to record it in my DAW, i have to send midi program data to it, instead of selecting a patch on the hardware. otherwise it'll default to patch 0 regardless of what the built in keyboard is set to play. kinda cool, though! means i can route multiple midi tracks to it

okay, fine! may as well use this opportunity to talk about how i just got a roland ep 707, which is a kinda obscure, cheap keyboard from the 90s. also the source of many, many sounds on the soft bulletin and zaireeka, as well as quite a few old video games... excited to use it in my work!!
