I ended up spraying it into my hands then massaging in at first because the spray sound freaked him out, but then was able to part fur (lots of fur!) near key areas and spray directly (and still rub in a bit) πŸˆβ€β¬›

Very pleased with my first attempt at wreath making. I’m not usually a practical crafty person but this was a really therapeutic evening out with a friend. Plus they gave us Christmas quiche and cranberry sausage rolls πŸŽ„πŸ₯§

Charlotte Tilbury packaging is the worst for this so if you have anything of hers I’d blame that!

Was once blessed to meet Professor David Whitebread, who was the first Lego Professor. He said to me "The problem with the world today, is that there's not enough mucking about!"
And he was right.
Mucking about lowers cortisol and increases oxytocin & serotonin!

Loved David W. Whenever I ran an outreach event he was the first to ask for a t-shirt and get stuck in with whatever exciting nonsense I had planned! πŸ₯°

Lessons Learnt? - Sutton Trust A brief history of school policy reforms going back to the 1980s and how these have impacted on performance and outcomes.

I have a report out today with The Sutton Trust looking back at the huge array of reforms over the past few decades and asking if they've made a difference.

What's got better, what's got worse, and what are the challenges for the new government?

BBC Radio 3 - BBC Proms, 2024, Disco at the Proms Break out the sequins as Andi Oliver invites us to a night of classic floor-fillers.

BBC Disco at the Proms was a joyous and uplifting watch and listen last night. Recommended if you want a sofa boogie. I also enjoyed the zooming in on the percussionist playing the glockenspiel during β€˜Heaven must be missing an angel’! 🎢🎺🎷

It’s true, so many in rescue, and apparently as well as the photo/Insta thing there’s also a lot of people still really superstitious about black cats too 😒 πŸˆβ€β¬›
