Messing about with AI a lot recently with no particular goal/task. Just trying to understand how it works and what it can/cannot do, to see what the implications might be - good and bad. I worked on asking it to create an image of a 15th century English valley. Thoughts?

Pics of our Wakefield 1460 game hosted by Tom using the new #Midgard Heroic Battles and written up by @mogsymakes.bsky.social #WarsoftheRoses
Great to get the WotR collection out again for this wonderful game hosted by Tom and chronicled here by Midgard mastermind James. It really is a wonderful and free-flowing set of rules.
Cheers
Thanks a lot
Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury 1400–1460, Yorkist stalwart, executed following the Battle of Wakefield. Father to Warwick the Kingmaker.
Perry miniatures 28mm metal. The heraldry was a pain but worth it!
Richard, Duke of York (Father of Richard III) 1411–1460.
By claiming the throne he is arguably the spark that ignited the Wars of the Roses (though his claim was strong). Opposing Lancastrian Henry VI, briefly served as Lord Protector, died at the Battle of Wakefield.
28mm metal Perry figure.
I’ve just painted something decent for the first time this year and my mojo has returned! Pics later. #WarsoftheRoses #Wargaming
Thank you Henry.
👋 here. I do not like the old place at all at the moment. Maybe I’ve really left it for good this time.
Right, Historical Miniatures Wargaming Starter Pack 2 is underway. I’m trying to avoid duplication so please check both lists before asking me to add you! But if anyone *isn’t* on either list but would like to be included, please respond to this post and I’ll get you on it asap.

Chuffed to see this on display right at the front door of my local library ✊ @battlegames.bsky.social
Keeping the ECW shelf heaving with 11 more parliamentarian musketeers.
Next up - these wonderfully detailed and dramatically-posed ECW Bloody Miniatures. I’ve based them singularly so they can make officers/characters for the army. Also polishing off 16 Perry musketeers.
Today I went exploring to tabletop games centre Lead Belt Gaming Arena in #Nottingham. Nice set up, welcoming and they have a forthcoming Baron’s War tournament I’ll perhaps drop in on.
Keep thinking about the remarkable Stokesay Castle model I saw at Partizan. Made me realise I need one or two bigger status building pieces in my terrain collection.
Yes but they are not clickable.
A transgression I’m willing to overlook on this one occasion.
Good to see Raglan getting and ECW project going - this will be interesting 👌
There he is!
King of the Castles. More from the Partizan show photo dump. #Wargaming
May the Blue Sky be full of refugee angels flapping their wings to fly far away from the car salesman’s arbitrary nonsense.
Partizan show photo dump 3. Yes someone scratch built this. Yes it’s Stokesay Castle. Yes, it was incredible!
More from the Partizan show photo dump
While I settle in after moving over from ‘the other place’ here follows a mass dump of Partizan show pictures from yesterday.
👌👌👋👋
Nothing like a Partizan to send a man screaming back to the painting desk….
Wait, what?!? They still haven’t fixed that? I didn’t stick around long enough to know it was still an issue. I’d assumed they’d sorted that months ago 🤦♂️. Feck me!
So Threads isn’t working as an wargaming community alternative is it? It’s so quiet there now. Anybody care to share their thoughts on why it’s not worked out? Personally I found it just pushed generic viral nonsense into my feed from the word go. So I left pretty quickly….
