I really think @michaelkohwchl.bsky.social nailed this. The overwhelming sentiment I heard last night was gratitude for Hubert Davis as a person + representative of the program.
Multiple things can be true: HD was a good steward of UNC MBB's ethos... while also having head coaching shortcomings.
