A rich person who doesn't work is 'eccentric', a poor person is a layabout. It's not about how much time but about how much money you have.
Ideally, you have enough to be able to choose the work/contribution you want to make (given appropriate skills, training and education)

This time next week I should nearing Rotterdam on a four day leisurely bike trip from Dunkirk - Ghent - Middelburg - Rotterdam - Amsterdam. Looking to explore and enjoy Belgium/Netherlands bike infra with four friends.
Hopefully good riding, good company, good food and drink. Can't wait!
Random clicks and creaks? Always, always clean and tighten your seat post first!
Rather than novel, I'd take a fundamental understanding of an issue and an ability to convey it in accessible terms over anything else. It used to be novel to say Hitler was misunderstood, but it shows little understanding.
Thank you so much for this
Worried your bike’s not cool enough or you’ll get left behind? Don’t sweat it, group rides are just riders figuring it out together.

At the risk of sounding like a sociopath, I wish everyone would tag their cat pics with #cats or something so I can block the hashtag.
I really don't care about your cats and don't expect anyone to care about my dog...
Why not just introduce a solar/heat pump subsidy? If no one wants it, no uptake, no cost. Seems a good way to find out.
Even in the 80s it was already clear that Class 73s were easily the most successful electro diesels ever made. Since then their range and versatility has grown many times. Amazing what these things do and where they get to.
Use of live regions for dynamic changes to the DOM perhaps? Not easy to do and likely to reduce as browsers increasingly add accessibility considerations natively but an absolute minefield...
Excellent! The definition of technical debt finally getting fixed
I always worry that Print on Demand might claim the rights to the design in their T&C's. Is this just my paranoia?
Govt. (or local business under licence) should fund switch to home salary + battery by charging cost +10%. Paid for by homeowner out of energy bills, capped at no more than their current bills. After 5/10 years paid off and they own the infrastructure/have cheap power. Local jobs and accountability
I'd set up a self financing company to insulate homes and add renewable infra (solar + battery). Cost + 10%, charged to homeowner at no more than their current energy fees. Should be paid off in 5-10 years then they own the whole thing.
Secure jobs for the fitters, local so accountable for quality.
None of this is about IQ but about the quality of education. Tories (and Rep) have done their best to limit education for all with the result that the populace see politics/FPTP as like two opposing sports teams, with cultural values assigned to each
Pick a side.
Or, invest in education.
This statement kind of implies that 'institutional investors' need our utilities to invest in or they will fail. Which is also a misguided caricature.
Our money for basic utilities leaves the country. It should be used to improve utilities and ring fenced for that purpose.
In each case, accidental encounters with no hint of aggression from the badger, correct.
I didn't say they were but guess it can look like it. When one hit me I was riding down a quiet country road and it ran out in front. When they start moving they seem to keep going but I had no time to avoid.
I've been hit by a badger on my pushbike, I've seen one jump into a bike frame (my mate immediately jumped off!) and I've followed a badger down a trail after almost putting my foot on it. They are fast, tough, solid and made of gristle!
Don't mess with them.
I ride the mighty beast! I ride The Squirrel!!
I think these people have correctly identified that the problem is systemic. But they've not understood that rather than the issue being foreigners etc., the real systemic problem is a power imbalance between wealthy people in power and everyone else.
Being weak, they dream of power...
My view is the primary role of a university is to preserve knowledge and communicate it to the next generation. It's secondary role is to add to or refine that knowledge.
In both cases, that knowledge is for people. Cultural context and cultural understanding is critical.
I think the point being missed is - as I understand - the speed limit doesn't apply if the vehicle is human powered? So only electric motorbikes - not e-assist which only helps based on your effort up to 15.5mph - are subject to speeding laws.
You can be done for 'riding furiously' I think.
Thanks, sounds great!
Are these panels optimised for the vertical plane? If so, it would be an opportunity to hang on south facing walls (my roof is not well oriented for solar from what I can tell)
I always thought this account was a comedy account. So a sense of humour in the replies might help
I really wouldn't waste a second worrying about it. You do you.
Wow! very well said
It's also a really dumb question - you can't influence it. Either insulate your pipes before the winter freeze, or keep the heat on. If you can't, well physics is gonna get ya regardless of what AI is going to say.
These examples always end up with, ultimately 'it helped me use my own judgement'. Which is great if that's based on any particular knowledge, but what do you do when our knowledge landscape is so degraded that you have no knowledge to actually judge with?
The end point is ignorance.
