My generation has the most Queerness, between gays, lesbians, and Trans….so when i moved to Baltimore, it was such a culture shock to me being forced into an institution that brainwashed me into believing that being Queer was an abomination….which confused me because how was I to walk in love and

So when I was born, I was raised on a firm foundation of love and spirituality, but it wasn’t a mandate…it wasn’t until I moved to Baltimore and was raised here that I even knew what being Queer was…my PR side never made an issue of it…in fact, every generation has at least a couple Queer men/women

Thank you for being soo open and transparent…and it’s funny because I came to a similar revelation in therapy last week…my mom’s paternal side is full Puerto Rican (like my grandfather’s generation are first gen born in the “US” aka never been to PR). My great grandmother was a priestess (Santeria)
