Listing this under #ThingsIDidntKnowUntilNow Norton Fitzwarren has a hill fort.
I went there for a wander around this afternoon, here are some of the views from it π€π³π #NortonFitzwarren #Somerset #HillForts #EnglishForts
I think for me out of all the online games and puzzles #wordle #worldle #flagle etc. #travle is the most addictive π€
For those that haven't played #travle the idea is to get from one country or county/province (depending where it is) on the shortest route. Direct couties/countries in between (yellow), a linked county/country that indirect (orange), & if you're way off course (grey).
Ok, I'll confess. I downloaded & copied maps so I'm guaranteed to get from A to B, BUT not always the shortest route.
On the flip side it's not cheating, it's learning, until 2 weeks ago when I started playing #travle I didn't know, Scotland, Ireland & France had so many counties #geography #regions
Probably my favourite trail in Devon. One day I want to to the 3 on the Devon coast to coast, Tarka, Granite Way & Drakes trail from Ilfracombe to Plymouth.
One day I might get round to it....
Yeah, the 2 pictures without the dove cote is actually Wilton Lands and the church now disappearing behind foliage is my favourite view.
Here's the same view I took in December between Christmas and New Years Day.
I seem to have gone down a rabbit hole of online games. First there was #wordle and #strands, then there's #worldle #flagle.
But now I've discovered #travle it's opened up a big wormhole. World, USA, GB, Ireland, France...
I could go on. But maybe not π¬

I have the sounds of lesser spotted JCB's as they're rebuilding the bus station across the road.
But yesterday I swapped for the sound of garden birds and ducks in the park. Which looking lovely and a lot greener now spring has fully sprung. The squirrels are getting cheeky this time of year too πΏ
Nursery rhymes for the 21st century.
That last one made me lol π€£π€£π€£

TBH you're not missing anything, Newport as well as Port Talbot are 2 places best avoided.
