So I just used my crafting spark making a new piece of gear, only to discover that one of the embellishments technically qualifies as the same 'category' as one I already have, meaning the item cannot be equipped.

From what I've read, a LOT of stuff for SL's story and zones was cut due to time and budget constraints.

The Drust were actually relevant, the Jailer wasn't even a villain, and they at least TRIED to live up to a lot of the grandiose promises they made about the game.

Much as I'd LOVE to see this kind of thing come back, I have my doubts it ever will. It's MUCH cheaper and easier for Blizz to make a single, unified story experience, as opposed to making separate-but-converging narratives with their own zones/cities. :/

If I recall, it was originally going to be a massive-ass raid, on par with Battle of Dazar'alor.

Then SL got it's budget and schedule slashed and they had to cobble something together with whatever they'd already created.
