Thanks. It’s on to the border now.

Thank you.
The centre of my quilt top is complete, now to add the pieced borders. There is still a great deal of cutting and stitching to be done.
Second finish of the year. A sampler doll quilt for an international swap.
Thank you
Thank you.
First finish of the year, a little quilt that measures 16” x 20”. I used it as a trial piece to see what dense quilting would look and feel like. The quilted lines in the centre squares are a quarter of an inch apart.
Pressing. Not ironing, pressing. Making the back as tidy as the front. Pressing…
A nice, easy star block today.
Three little blocks for a sampler quilt. No time frame, no real planning just quiet stitching.
Beautiful work.
Got the next block finished before the end of the year. I need to cut more squares today so that I can continue piecing next year. Happy New Year.

Thank you
Been a bit quiet stitching two more blocks for my Burgoyne Surrounded quilt. I now need to spend a few days cutting out more squares ready for handpiecing the next block.
There are days when all I want to do is sit.
Today is one such day.
Thank you. I love both the pattern and scrap quilts hence my crazy idea to do a scrappy version. I’m handpiecing it and hope to hand quilt it as well. I also like this pattern as a two colour quilt which would be much less stitching.
Thank you
Burgoyne Surrounded, another scrap quilt that I work on as and when I’ve cut a pile of scraps up.
This week I’ve been working on 5” blocks each composed of 50, 1” triangles. I added 3 blocks this week, that’s 150 little triangles - I may have lost the plot!
There’s a box of 1” triangles sitting on the side in the kitchen and they get pieced together, one light, one dark, as and when I get a couple of minutes. Well, I decided to put some together…
Spot on!
I’ve been a bit quiet lately pattern testing and getting this centre piece done. I was trying to piece it on the machine but I wasn’t happy with the accuracy, there is only so much trimming and squaring up that you can do before it looks completely wrong! This is pieced by hand.
Thanks, I’ve got one, I’ve also got even feed on my machine. I use leaders and enders but I’m never very satisfied with the results.
I have a love/hate relationship with sewing machines. Today I practiced accurate quarter inch seams on my machine as I have some very small pieces to sew together for the centre of a much larger project. All is well so far.
Thank you.
Thank you
Thank you so much. I think of them as art especially when the quilting is added to give it a third dimension. I absolutely loved making this quilt using old shirts and household linens.
If it gets really cold I’ll just put an extra quilt on the bed.
Thank you
Thank you. I make quilts all year round.
