As an Italian, I've never been happier I only watch tennis

I'm playing with LM Studio and it's absolutely fucking awesome.
The future of AI is local computation, not paying for tokens
(but yeah we need to improve on energy consumption, like, a lot)

dev teams to quickly experiment on throwaway code/POCs/how it would "feel" to implement that etc. in like a couple hours instead of half a sprint.
This was simply not possible even 6 months ago and we can't ignore that.
Using it on actual prod code unsupervised on the other hand?
Simply reckless

well, tbh as a tech lead I always struggle between keeping the right pace for the team and having the highest code quality possible but there is always that feature that your competitor implemented yesterday and product managers will sacrifice their siblings to have...this tech enables

Look, I'm no AI apologist (yes, it does produce good quality code for real, but also the more you use it the higher the risk you become slower/worse at making code decisions on your own) but...literally one of the most prominent LLM products is called Copilot following this exact metaphor lol

Product-wise I think it's a step in the right direction (you no longer need to be a dev in order to build a custom feed, and even if you are it gets easier/faster/whatever). Plus it sets competition and tools like @graze.social and @skyfeed.app will improve aswell

Also, a lot of very vocal users of bsky completely rejected the idea, either because "it says AI so it must be bad!" or because they haven't grasped what it actually is (someone thinks it's a chatbot like grok etc)

Apparently I reached a point in life where I don't like gaming anymore. I like THE IDEA of gaming, and I watch trailers and read about new releases and get hyped but when I have free time I always end up doing something else instead.
