Incredible story, wonderful work.
"Those taxes you just paid? The money is going straight into Trump's pocket" would be good messaging
lol. I never did.
they got the Church of England supporting the Pope now
Agreed. I see roots of this in old evangelical uncertainty that Catholicism is even Christian. I think that was papered over, even forgotten in period of shared Catholic, evangelical anti/abortion and anti-reproductive rights political activism.

The grinning man spinning wild yarns.
I don’t know how he sits there in those burning pants.
So much damage, everywhere.
Hope they succeed with their recall efforts.
Puts me in mind of the highly competitive office team for the University at Buffalo step challenge.

Kildavnet Castle • Achill Island
This tower house is thought to date to the fifteenth century, and it was built by the O’Malleys to guard Achill Sound.
The site is associated with Gráinne Ní Mháille, the famous 'Pirate Queen', whose stories are so imbued within the landscape of Achill and Clew Bay
We have the CBC again on our tv here in Buffalo; live splashdown with Canadian commentary was wonderful. Bittersweet, on international crews, current changes. My husband and I taken back to the awe of the rapid descent, anxiety before the parachutes, splashdown. Daughter had never seen one live.

Ike here either runs like he is late to a meeting or sleeps through the next one.
Sometimes the Branch Manager goes for a weighty branch, sometimes a very long one. Good to see him mix up his responsibilities.
Putting thus on a list of political movies to rewatch right now, alongside the original Manchurian Candidate.
Well not new but in case you missed it. Meryl Streep reading Anne Patchett’s Tom Lake.
I would accept that finder’s fee.
That is charming.
This is an hilarious correction. “A correction was made on April 6, 2026: Because of an editing error, an earlier version of the digital summary with this article misstated the type of event that was held at the White House. As the article correctly noted, it was an egg roll, not an egg toss.”
The whole thread with Trump telling children at an egg roll about destruction and inarticulate weirdness is important. This remark, though, stands out to me and leaves me profoundly sad. @charlotteclymer.bsky.social
Thinking about Susie Wiles saying Trump had an alcoholic’s personality. Codependency and dysfunction at an elemental level.
Even more reason to look forward to your lecture!
That makes sense, and thanks for sharing what you can later!
lol. Wise choice.
Wish there was a hybrid version to watch the evisceration!
