As a former PSDO for RAiSE it was brilliant to be a part of this celebration event - chatting all things science and STEM with practitioners visiting the stands. Connected in around practitioner enquiry and middle leadership professional learning too 😎 Well done to the RAiSE team 🎉🎉

Practitioner Enquiry Tip of the Week: holiday is for holidaying. I'm a day early this week as I'm on leave tomorrow and next week. So this is my important reminder that enquiry should not be taking up your holiday time. If it is, stop, scale back /1 🧵

First #PractitionerEnquiryTotW repost of Day 1 of the 5 days of Practitioner Enquiry: Learning from challenge (from this time last year). Repost/like if this strikes a cord and is useful to beat the algorithm (although bear with me as its not the easiest to transfer from bird site)

I love that moment when you are reading a book and suddenly there, in the middle of the sentence, is a word you’ve never seen before. For me today that word was foehn, as in a foehn wind and I had the pleasure of looking it up and learning more…delighted that there were also diagrams 😃

LGBT Inclusive Education is important - here's why - Time for Inclusive Education Time For Inclusive Education

📢 “A school curriculum which does not reflect diversity or engage with topics of equality and representation presents an information vacuum which is being filled by online influencers who are often equipping young people with inaccurate, and sometimes extremist, information.”

I would think about it as “distractions” being an umbrella term for things that make us lose focus. But the nature of those things will look different for everyone. What distracts your focus? What supports your focus? In a coaching scenario, I would bring this up in contracting - what do you think?
