Thank you @ceja.org! I am proud to stand with the thousands of families across California who are demanding energy affordability and environmental protections.
The video that President Trump shared of former President Obama and First Lady Obama is racist. Period. No excuses.

I joined a few of my colleagues at the 11th Annual Clean Energy Business Roundtable in San Francisco.
This was an opportunity to engage with energy experts and leaders to explore how we can bridge the gap between our climate goals and make utilities more affordable for Californians.
Feeling incredibly grateful today. My amazing team went above and beyond to shower me with such thoughtful birthday gifts, and I couldn’t feel more appreciated. Thank you for making the day so special 💫
“Beachgoers and tourists don’t want it. Fishermen don’t want it. Whales, dolphins, sandpipers and egrets — if they could talk — would no doubt balk. It’s bad for our health and the environment.
Thank you The Coast News for featuring my op-ed.

Today would have marked the 53rd anniversary of Roe V. Wade.
Until this federal administration, I never would known a life where women did not have the right to reproductive rights.
That's why I continue to fight for women’s rights in California. Thank you, @ppactionca.bsky.social.

Assemblymember Boerner poses with Secretary Maduros and GovOps.
Today I met with Secretary Nick Maduros from GovOps to talk about broadband connectivity and the state's middle-mile broadband project.
The first parts of the project will be up and running before the end of the year!
This shortsighted order demonstrates that the Trump administration is teaming up with Big Tech to further entrench the digital divide right in the middle of a generational effort to help close it. This action harms Californians. California leaders and I will not stand idly by without a response. California would lose about $290 million in non-deployment funding that could otherwise have been used for increasing broadband access. I am committed to exploring our state’s options to ensure some of Big Tech’s billions of dollars of profits will go towards helping close the digital divide.
The Trump Administration is planning to take away BEAD Funds from states who pass AI legislation.

@asmransom.bsky.social & Assemblymember Quirk-Silva had the same idea as me - wearing Assembly Floor Green! We have just a few days left until the last day of session, the last day of the legislative year to pass bills! Counting down the days until I am back in the district for the fall!
In California, we have spent years striving to uphold the principles of liberty and justice for all. This includes eliminating racial profiling in law enforcement, employment, schools, and all aspects of our lives. While there is still work to be done, the recent decision by the United States Supreme Court to permit ICE agents to racially profile individuals based on their occupation, race, or language is a clear act of racism. I urge my fellow elected officials to stand against this harmful practice that threatens our communities and undermines our shared values.
My statement on the United States Supreme Court's decision to profile individuals based on their occupation, race, or language:

Vulnerable families are demanding that we keep them housed. As we work to address affordable housing, we must defend environmental protections. Thanks to the Leadership Counsel for Justice & Accountability for recognizing a few of my colleagues & me for our work in defending key CEQA protections.
Thank you for stopping by @ceja-action.org!
Today, I spoke in support of #ACA8 on California’s congressional redistricting efforts. These are unprecedented times. California will give voters the choice.
#CALeg #Redistricting
Today, I voted in support of legislation that would give voters the choice to redraw congressional districts in response to Trump's anti-democratic efforts to steal House seats. This is not a decision that I or my colleagues take lightly. Still, there is no way California can stand idly by to watch President Trump and his cronies intentionally chisel away at the fundamental pillars of our American democracy. This is a necessary step to ensure that we protect democracy and that California's voice is still heard, regardless of the noise caused from the federal administration. In the coming weeks, I will share information with you about the proposition so that you can make an informed decision in this election. Voters will have an opportunity to vote on the congressional redistricting ballot initiative on November 4th.
