I have been tasked by my ex to try to photograph a particular woodpecker who might be seen at Breitenbush.

There's also the potential to photo ravens, stellers jays, violet green swallows, and mule deer.

No internet or phone for five days, though, so everyone will have to wait.

I drive to a farm in Yamhill county weekly now and there are signs EVERYWHERE for Ed "No Tax" Diehl.

I first saw a couple Drazan signs a few weeks ago, and now I just see Diehl signs.

The cards had white backs and the fronts were mostly finished, with a few placeholders.

When the game came out we were all so excited to see what the finished product looked like and were entirely too excited about the guillotine in the box.

We talked for weeks about the balance changes.

There was a local game store in Memphis in the late 90's where I practically lived. The owner had connections with Wizards of the Coast, and so we sometimes got to play test unreleased games.

This was one of them.

I packed my copy yesterday for a vacation!

Grinding coffee for 5 days at Breitenbush, because thank God they started allowing coffee by the time I started going.

Going to be spending half my days building all the tents for summer camping, probably in the rain, so if you go this summer and stay in a tent, think of me.

The way people respond to a thumbs down instead of a flipped bird is *amazing*.

I'd be sitting at it looking like a hobbit. "It comes in pints?!?"

Had to block someone for raging and using the r- slur at me, just because I suggested driving slower to save lives.

Unbelievably rancid behavior.

I'm driving less than 20mph down a residential street where kids regularly play and guess what, the chances of me killing a child are significantly lower than someone going just a few mph more than me.

YOU are responsible if you kill someone with your car 100% of the time.

I actually look at bike lanes next to me when I'm driving!

But these two people were SHOCKED when I "unexpectedly" crossed the street, during my bike signal, while in a bike lane.

I have never, in five years of driving regularly in downtown Portland, had a near miss with a pedestrian or bicyclist, even ones who unexpectedly came out onto the street.

Because I drive slowly and carefully.

Just Thursday, on my bike, I was almost hit twice while driving in a bike lane.

As soon as I'm done moving, my partner and I plan on joining!

He may join even sooner, he's been talking about for a while now and we finally did a tour.

I'll be looking to join the jewelry guild, and textiles, and hopefully one day stained glass.

My partner is going to be doing woodworking and maybe leatherworking, and who knows what else he'll get into, he's a tinkerer that can do so many things.

That was her husband of 35 years.

She shared some stories with me, I shared some stories with her, we had a little cry, and went well over time.

What a gift for us both from the universe today.

Went to meet someone for my condo orientation. A contractor whose business is handling moves in and out of condos for HOAs.

I mentioned my former workplace. While there, I worked with the head building engineer because I was in charge of OPs. He died suddenly a couple years ago...

I'm not trying to NIMBY the incredible improvements on 4th.
But the operational difficulties of a huge dense apartment building with no loading zone is bad for everyone.

If Portland is going to build dense housing, then this problem needs to be solved, probably by taking away car lanes.

My postman has to park 2-7 blocks away.

There's a bodega, they get large truck deliveries. Restaurants across the street. Another huge apartment next door.

Some trucks just block the travel lane, or the crosswalk, both situations are going to kill someone one day.

Moving is going to cost twice as much as it would last year because PBOT removed parking in front of a 300 unit apartment building on 4th Ave.

If we're going to have bike and transit priorities, the realities of large buildings can't be ignored. We don't have alleys! We don't have loading docks!
