Tv station got a slap in the wrist for it (and they've shown a lot of CSAM so I'm amazed the station wasn't sued to oblivion over that). Tv host is gonna get her "cancelled tour". The people against all of this are gonna have to get posting licences. What are we doing here.

One of the main news items this week in Portugal was a tv host defending a broadcasted underage sexual assault (saying that the victim wasn't loud enough to broadcast her dispeasure) and then the tv station saying that the real assault was people telling the host off for it.

Portugal had their equivalent of the Youtube Adapocalpyse, and one prompted by "Kids swearing and kids being stressed about school is worse than them being sexist or racist". Why wouldn't I be less dismayed at them cheering social media bans now?

All of those freaks are from newspapers that cheered on "I must get the id, address and financial info of that one anime avatar that told me off online", and defense of the crimes done there and in Portugal are on open channel, tv broadcasted and newspapers, not on the comments or social media.

This is what gets me about all of the legislation about online services being inspired and prompted by "Oh I watched Adolescence and-". The people that radicalized the kid on the show already have power beyond social media. This is from people that won't be hit at all by adult filters or internet id
