Another solar generation record set today in Britain.

14,426 megawatts were being generated at 11.30 today, delivering 37% of GB’s electricity and contributing to a record low reliance on fossil fuels. Gas accounted for just 2% of electricity generation at that time.

Worth a few minutes of your time to watch these videos of the PM giving the facts and the timeline of events around Mandelson.

Don't listen to cherry picked parts with added opinions from comentators.

Listen to the PM himself.

Fun fact that lying UK journalistic hacks won’t tell you because they hate Labour: Boris Johnson did not pass vetting when Theresa May appointed him Foreign Secretary. #UKPolitics

Yesterday we had a journalist post on Threads to say the press doesn't like Labour and holds Labour to higher standards than other parties.

It confirms what we all knew and see every day.

But shocking that someone in the media bubble actually said it out loud!

When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.

Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform

GB News headline: GP who asked Muslim woman to remove her veil 'because he was struggling to understand her' is struck off.

Was this GP struck off just because he asked a Muslim woman to remove her veil?

How likely does that sound? 🤷‍♀️

Did he actually ask her to remove her veil 'because he was struggling to understand her?'

Let's take a look at what really happened based on the tribunal reports...

As Orbán bites the dust, it’s worth remembering this old Farage confession in the clear. He always seems to be compelled to thank foreign entities for their help in damaging our national interests - it has echoes of a serial killer taunting the police.👇

In France, legislation came into effect recently for all car parks that have over 80 spaces to be covered with solar panels. Estimated to add around 11GW of renewable energy capacity to the national grid. Why not do likewise in Scotland? Braehead, Silverburn, Glasgow Fort etc.

Small boats crossing the Channel update.

Sorry I missed the end of March with an update. I was on holiday, some of which was spent on a ship in the relatively calm English Channel, no less!

So what does the data say?

March crossings were down 51% on a year before - 2232 comparted to 4586.

Unavoidable wealth taxes introduced by the Labour government

Tax the wealthy, another 3 word slogan which like Get Brexit Done is proposed as a simple solution which is neither simple nor a solution. This Government has introduced unavoidable wealth taxes, easier to enforce because they're completely unavoidable.

Thinking of voting #ReformUK? Here are just a few recent BBC stories about them - not opinions but reports of their own behavior.

They're evidently grifting, incompetent, bigoted, loudmouths you'd want nowhere near your council services - and your council tax money.

I have a father and mother in law in Iran. I have a sister in law. A niece. She's 14. She likes silly pink headbands and purses and dresses, just like kids her age all over the world. There are 93 million people like her in Iran. People who do all the normal mundane life things as the rest of us.

Yeah Keir Starmer lifted the cap quicker than expected, quicker than his manifesto stated.

It wasn't in the 2024 manifesto. But he said he'd do it as soon as he could.

True to his word he did.👏👏👏👏👏👏

Sick of propaganda spreaders like these👇

This thing about Starmer bowing to backbench pressure... I see the Labour party in government as one where all it's MPs have an influence, not just the executive. I think Starmer needs to adjust to this more, but overall I celebrate it
