The Beatles finish recording the Revolver song Love You To, with vocals from Harrison and McCartney.
They then record the backing track for Paperback Writer in two takes – featuring guitars, tambourine, drums.

The backing track has 12-string guitar, electric guitar, bass, and drums. The Beatles complete the song with backing vocals, tambourine, and John Lennon's lead vocals.

Paul McCartney buys 7 Cavendish Avenue – a three-storey Regency townhouse in St John's Wood, London – for £40,000.

Cynthia Lennon, the first wife of John Lennon, died aged 75 on 1 April 2015.
Cyn and John met at art college in Liverpool in 1958. They married in 1962, after discovering she was pregnant with their son Julian, and divorced in 1968.

John Lennon bought a copy of The Psychedelic Experience by Timothy Leary, Richard Alpert, and Ralph Metzner on 1 April 1966.
The book, a manual for using psychedelic drugs, became a key influence on the Revolver song Tomorrow Never Knows.
