Russian cyber operations are synchronised with missile strikes. Physically hit a power plant, then deploy malware to prevent recovery and maximise panic. He calls it "cyber-artillery."
His core argument: this is the first war in history where cyberspace is not a sideline, but a prerequisite for survival.

According to feedback, the arrival of glide bombs (KABs) nearby—which can be heard in the recording—made quite an impression on the audience of about 1,500 people.
I’ll share the video link in the next post.
I also discussed Ukraine’s experience in countering cyber aggression, as well as what our European partners should do to properly prepare for the almost inevitable hybrid war.
In it, I spoke about cyberattacks on critical infrastructure — particularly energy and communications — about the recent attack on the Polish power system, about submarine cables, cyber-physical threats, digital sovereignty, and the continuity-by-design approach.
At the end of last year, I was honoured by the invitation to deliver a keynote speech at Denmark’s largest cybersecurity conference, V2 Security.
Understanding that during a combat mission it would likely be impossible for me to get in touch, I recorded the talk in advance.
While I was on a combat mission, The Resilient kindly published my essay "This is what the EU can learn about digital sovereignty from the war in Ukraine".

My first experience of hosting a TV show on eQtv. My debut esteemed guest is Jari Kickbusch, a Danish journalist and researcher, who shared a lot of insights about cybersecurity in Denmark. On air tomorrow morning at 01:57 UTC or next week, so it makes sense to stay tuned!
This week, it will be on air on Friday, June 27 at 05:21 UTC and Sunday, June 29 at 05:26 UTC.

I was happy to join the presentation of our first public report at the ICE Task Force analytical center I've joined last year and the SSSCIP of Ukraine “War and Cyber: Three Years of Struggle and Lessons for Global Security” last Friday.
Links to the report and video are in the comments.

When a social network is asking what's happening I would recall December 2016 and serious issues in the transportation industry of Ukraine. Waiting for the official confirmation.
NEW - Google researchers detail the various ways in which Russia is targeting Ukrainian military Signal accounts.
Includes attacks via QR code (Qishing) and some sneaky phishing mimicking an artillery software used by Ukraine.
Signal updates to address.

One interesting aspect here:
Russia's infamous Sandworm hacking group has been working with Russian soldiers in Ukraine to grab devices from the battlefield and divert the Signal messages back to them.
Just my two cents on USAID’s role in Ukraine’s cyber resilience. Thank you, @thomasbrewster.bsky.social
I was hoping to hear the word "Ukraine" in the speech. Not this time. Hopefully not with words but with deeds.
