What do we know about corporate ownership? This study finds that the real owners of MNC shares can be identified in only 5.8 % of all cases. Over 80 % of the top ten shareholders of 500 large MNCs are institutional investors.

The article ignores the impact of automation and AI, which many expect to deflate the demand for labor. We might see a simultanous decline of both, supply and demand of labor. Demography shrinks the number of workers, automation and AI the number of jobs.
