JLPT is 6 days away. I’m going into this one with very grounded expectations: I might pass but I don’t think I’ll get enough points on the reading section, so probably not. In my mock exams, I passed listening & kanji/vocab, so I’ll be practicing those long passages this week!

There seems to be a consensus that because I’m American, my opinions about food are invalid. Fam, I’ve eaten raw horse, milt, sea urchin, etc. but the moment I criticize a konbini sandwich, I’m a tasteless Neanderthal who doesn’t deserve to be in Japan. It’s honestly comical. 🤣

Chocomint ice cream is the GOAT, I love it! But that sandwich looks so unappetizing. I’d try a bite just to say I tried it, but I can’t fathom the taste being anything other than fake mint, processed, oily chocolate and refrigerated konbini sandwich bread. My taste buds KNOW. 😂

The comments on TT are not so bad but on Insta they are savage. I’ve blocked three people already. 🙃

I posted a video on Insta and TikTok about this stupid chocomint sandwich I saw at FamilyMart and it has BLOWN UP. People are seriously offended that I dared to imply it’s gross (and I now have confirmation it is). It wasn’t meant to rage bait, but wow people are fired up. 😂

I had to text my bestie (she’s a plant person fr) and ask her wth is this?! 🤣 her reply: INEDIBLE BERRY. DO NOT EAT. Girl, calm down. I’m not just gonna pick something off a random tree in the middle of town and eat it. I’m civilized. 🤣🤣🤣
