Trying to convince myself to forget how stupid they look and buy a helmet, but do they really all have to look so weird on my big, fat head? 😂🤣
Beautiful summer day at Kanazawa Station. ☀️💖
JLPT is 6 days away. I’m going into this one with very grounded expectations: I might pass but I don’t think I’ll get enough points on the reading section, so probably not. In my mock exams, I passed listening & kanji/vocab, so I’ll be practicing those long passages this week!
K-pop Demon Hunters is the most delightful thing I’ve seen in ages. 💖
It’s been a bit of a sad story the last couple of weeks. End of WWII.
I have to stop trying to eat breakfast while I watch the AsaDora (morning drama) because I inevitably end up crying and can’t eat. 😂😭😭
There seems to be a consensus that because I’m American, my opinions about food are invalid. Fam, I’ve eaten raw horse, milt, sea urchin, etc. but the moment I criticize a konbini sandwich, I’m a tasteless Neanderthal who doesn’t deserve to be in Japan. It’s honestly comical. 🤣
Chocomint ice cream is the GOAT, I love it! But that sandwich looks so unappetizing. I’d try a bite just to say I tried it, but I can’t fathom the taste being anything other than fake mint, processed, oily chocolate and refrigerated konbini sandwich bread. My taste buds KNOW. 😂
Oh no! I must’ve missed that one, were they absolutely feral in the comments?!
The comments on TT are not so bad but on Insta they are savage. I’ve blocked three people already. 🙃
Like, really? Over a convenience store sandwich? People cursing me out, telling me to get out of Japan, saying I disrespect the culture? Y’all, please.
I posted a video on Insta and TikTok about this stupid chocomint sandwich I saw at FamilyMart and it has BLOWN UP. People are seriously offended that I dared to imply it’s gross (and I now have confirmation it is). It wasn’t meant to rage bait, but wow people are fired up. 😂
I had to text my bestie (she’s a plant person fr) and ask her wth is this?! 🤣 her reply: INEDIBLE BERRY. DO NOT EAT. Girl, calm down. I’m not just gonna pick something off a random tree in the middle of town and eat it. I’m civilized. 🤣🤣🤣
Pewdiepie’s channel has basically become home videos of his kiddo and family, and I’m here for it. 💖💖
Ah, nothing like a major plane crash in the news the same day you buy plane tickets for an international flight. I’m not afraid of flying- I somewhat enjoy it- but that terror still lurks in the back of my mind. I’m so sad for all those passengers and their loved ones. 😞🥺

🍛 Fun Fact: Every Friday, Japan’s Maritime Self-Defense Force still serves curry rice—a tradition dating back over a century!
What’s your favorite Japanese curry style? 🍛 Comment below! ⬇ You know mine is Kanazawa curry, but I may be biased. 😉
Unlike Indian curry, Japanese curry uses roux to create a mild, stew-like texture. Curry became a household favorite, served with rice, udon, or even bread! The Japanese Navy adopted curry as a nutritious meal, leading to its popularity nationwide.
Did you know that Japanese curry (カレー) isn’t originally Japanese? 🤯
Brought to Japan in the Meiji era (1868–1912) via British naval officers, curry was introduced as a Western-style dish—but over time, it evolved into the rich, comforting meal we know today!
💡 How did it change?
"Break the ice" ✨英語のイディオム「Break the ice」は「緊張をほぐす」や「和ませる」という意味。初めて会った人との会話を始めるときなどに使います。 例: "Let's break the ice before the meeting!" 🧊
Happy Hyakumangoku festival day! 💖

I found my favorite melon Soda at Lawson tonight! It was the first time I’d seen it all year, and of course it was the last one!
