Most of my OCs names "come" to me spontaneously. For last-names I usually google typical names from various countries.

Soil, was my first DnD character in a group from my former work place. I mainly worked with soil. Like... a lot of soil. Very fucking much soil. So I thought it fits xD

Sibylle's name is one of the rare old elder people names in Germany and it sounds bit silly. Sry to all German Sibylles xD

Davíd sprouted from his og personality and became an OC as well.

Meanwhile Sibylle's AU version living her best life in contrast to her game version who dwells in a realm of angst. Also I'm happy to inherit her ingame bird-waifu npc after the campaign, who will become Sibs bestie in AU. ♡

This is quite common for my OCs.
The AU version has a similar but different life in their setting, sometimes familiars stay in der life too depending on the OCs original world setting.
E.g. Soil started as Tiefling but due to the campaign being cancled he ended up as half-demon OC in my headworld.
