I can’t imagine ever willingly shaking Trump’s hand—but if I did and if he tried to yank my arm bank, I’d pull back harder so that he stumbled forward.

Republicans then: “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” and “wealth will trickle down”
Republicans now: “you will eat your $3 piece of chicken, broccoli, & corn tortilla and be grateful.”
Once again, the press focuses on the one man. The real tragedy is the enablers- his cabinet, Johnson, Thune, and everyone else in power that plays along.
No edit button, but autocorrect added the apostrophe, and I didn’t catch it before I posted.
When Trump called Jennifer Jacob’s Piggy, that was an insult to her. When we call Trump Piggy, that’s an insult to pigs.
High quality jobs are difficult to find. I’m seeing people with tremendous experience taking much longer to find new roles — and often taking significantly lower compensation than they had previously.
The comment wouldn’t be appropriate even if he were considered the most fit/attractive person on the planet.
Excellent point. I guess he wasn’t happy that Covid only killed a few million of us— he’s trying to take out at least a few million more.
Trumpcare is going to be like his Walmart Thanksgiving— fewer items and worse quality— only it’s much more serious.
We’ve spent years calling the AFFORDABLE Care Act “Obamacare,” which for some twisted reason has a negative connotation. Why aren’t we calling its dismantlement “Trumpcare?” Trump name needs to be tied to the disasters of his making.
Is changing the name to M-SNOW ❄️ a smart PR move?
The message was pretty clear.
Rather than saying the funds went to Argentina, it should say they went to help another autocrat secure wealth and power.
The new SNAP requirements starting 12/1 increase the age where eligible recipients have to work or lose benefits. But —ageism is very real and I sit on networking calls with many qualified older people who want to but can’t find work. Social safety nets are disintegrating.
I’m so disappointed with our inability to evolve. We should be better than this.
Hello Echo Chamber! MSNBC showed results of a poll where only 50% blamed the Republicans and 43% actually blamed Democrats for the shutdown. The world is illogical and I’m losing hope that reality will ever break through to Republicans.
This week once again reminded us with clear images that Trump destroys everything he touches. Why isn’t there more outrage?
How about stop using the word “Elite” when talking about the wealthiest among us? Why not use more appropriate terms like “Ultra-Greedy,” “Mass-Destructive,” “Self-centered, humanity-destroyer?”
Remember how we kept hearing “Trump is finally saying what we’re all thinking?”
Anti-woke = anti-common decency. They felt oppressed in the past because there was more pressure to be honorable. Now, they get rewarded for cruelty.
The entire discussion was nuts. 🥜 Vance’s evasiveness on Homan’s bribe-taking was something to watch. “ I’m sure he’s done work to earn $50k. You’re on the left so you’re the one not to be trusted” no JD-Homan was caught by the FBI- but you don’t work for all America, so your team made it go away.
Just catching up and watching Rachel Maddow’s show from earlier this week. Joshua Aaron is definitely one of the heros of our time. He creating an app to let people know where ICE is spotted-Apple took it off the App Store to appease the administration. Joshua is not backing down.
Hegseth reminds us all that true leadership isn’t a title and respect isn’t guaranteed. It has to be earned. And what he’s demonstrating is the opposite of leadership. It’s an adolescent’s view of masculinity.
Science under Trump:
-Tylenol causes autism.
- Bleach cures Covid.
-If you don’t measure something, it doesn’t exist.
-Good stuff is huge, bad stuff is Biden’s fault.
CK-not a hero. He said many hurtful, problematic, hateful things. That doesn’t change because he was murdered. Still not a hero. And neither is EK.
Think about every despicable comment Homan made — calling refugees and immigrants “criminals.” $50k bribe - hmmm — hypocrite!
I’m old enough to remember the First Amendment.
Yes. And pogroms in Russia in the late 1800s and early 1900s against Jewish people were similar in that they were collective punishment against a group of people that originated from dehumanizing conspiracy theories and myths.
Preparing for #RoshHashana - the shofar is intended as a wake up call- to get us to act. Seems particularly appropriate this year.

He’s fully embraced his Underdog character.
