Broadhead?
he was brilliant but about 7/8 minutes before he came off I said he was starting to tire and he should get subbed soon.
Would have much rather Sorba or Broadhead had come on for him though.
Harris runs around a lot but doesn't have any goal instinct whatsoever
RE: Darlow, at least he's playing in the Premier League and there have been plenty of keepers older than 35 that have played in World Cups..
Yep, it's an absolutely fascinating 'what if?' and I haven't got a clue if it would have been amazing or a disaster!

Hey! Random question: Any Egyptian football journalists/experts on here who can tell me a bit more about the 1986 AFCON triumph under Mike Smith?
cheers Buzz!
Diolch! That game in 2014 was both brutal and brilliant and I got shivers several times when writing about it. LOVED the way Chester and Ledley stood up to Pjanic because I'd never really seen anything like it before from Wales. That game was the turning point for me (ppl say Andorra but I disagree)
Described as ‘the greatest loss of my life’ by Gareth Bale, Wales’s 2–0 defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica in 2015 was part of a trilogy of games that mapped how Chris Coleman turned things around in his first three years as manager ✍️Leon Barton wp.me/p8Mk4U-1dIa
I grew up about 22 miles from Corwen - my parents had friends living there so we visited quite often when I was a kid. It was a pleasure writing about the area.
But, of course, it was an even greater pleasure to write about such an exceptional player for Wales and a seemingly humble bloke too.
cheers Iwan
Dave Smallman too

@leonbarton.bsky.social and @llannerch.bsky.social look back at an international window that started stodgy and ended with a sparkle. They share their thoughts on Bosnia & Herzegovina in next year's play-offs

He's their captain, and he turns 40 around a week before they play us.

If you'd said last week 'we'll win one of these games 1-0 and the other 7-1', I'm pretty confident ZERO Wales fans would have predicted it being that way round...
Alan Partridge reporting live from Cardiff
Harry and Broady at Wrexham as (very young) kids too. And Brooks' Mam from Llangollen so we'll claim his goal for NE Wales as well!
Just wish I'd had the programme with me when I met Brian Lloyd a couple of years back
also signed by Joey
please take them to the play offs
Loving that our goalscoring stats are looking so much better now: Wilson 17, Moore 15, DJ 9, Johnson 7, Brooks 6, Broadhead and Neco 4. I think JJ will start chipping in now too
We worried post-Bale (and Ramsey..) about where the goals would come from but they're being shared around nicely
Brian Flynn in Port Talbot, 2018:
"The reintroduction of reserve team football up there will help. I predict Scotland will come good again in the next decade.."
I wasn't convinced about that but I've learned it's best not to question Flynnie on football. He's right 99.9% of the time
cheers Buzz, enjoy the game!
As Wales prepare to take on England for the 105th time on Thursday, hoping to record what would be just a fifteenth victory, ✍️Leon Burton looks back over the 146-year history of matches between the two sides wp.me/p8Mk4U-16PG
Oh, Joey Joey 💔
For me, the guitar sound, Gruff's vocals in the verse and Cian's keys are all more Krautrock than Britpop!
More time on the bench, sadly. Although there's talk Okonkwo will get a Nigeria call up for AFCON which could be an opening for Ward.
really?! So you disagree with my take that something 4 the weekend was clearly their most 'Britpop' moment and Hermann loves Pauline was the moment the handbrake came off? Can't imagine ANY of the big Britpop bands like Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Suede coming up w a song like HLP... musically or lyrically
