2,400 artists in NYC got $1,000 per month in basic income for 18 months beginning in 2022. Same as in Ireland, the results were overwhelmingly positive. Artists spent more time on their art and became more satisfied with the quality and impact of their work.

Not the most appealing photograph, but the breakfast burritos are quite good. Cheese, refried black beans (punched up with chipotles), bacon and a scrambled egg cooked in the rendered bacon fat.

Roasted vegetables, salt, cilantro and pickled jalapeños in a food processor ready to be made into salsa.

A baking sheet full of roasted vegetables: tomatoes, tomatillos, onion and jalapeño. Not pictured: roasted garlic that I took out earlier.

Bean, cheese and rice burrito for a late lunch. When I’ve been making beans lately I make a quick roasted salsa to add to them. The might be the best ratio of ingredients yet. The pickled jalapeños really punch it up.

I think I just unlocked a perfect breakfast burrito. Will attempt to re-create tomorrow and take pictures.
