And even if you aren't "crushed", you're just ignored. Nuance has left the room a long time ago.
I feel like what holds me back is this general sense of hostility that I didn't really notice before 2015. Everyone's being judged much more harshly now and you have to choose your words very carefully or you're a shit person. People much smarter and more empathetic than me have been crushed by it.

100% support what these guys are doing, not just because the drummer played on my record. Lots of surprises here, from straightforward brutality to surprisingly emotional acoustic sections with some great singing. There's a melancholy that is very recognizable in my own music as well.
