Should this proposal be shown to be true, I think it will be important for residents to understand the negative impact it would have on our community (police, fire, traffic, protests, ? reduced property values, etc.). Once that is made clear, I’d be surprised if there was much support…

As you probably already assume, this is a big “NO!” 👎from me. You can count on it!

They showed no grace; no magnanimity of spirit; no diplomatic acumen. They were small bullies with big titles and they disrespected the history and legacy of the nation they lead.

Today, Donald Trump acted more like Russia's Putin than America's President.

How the Super Rich Are Killing Social Security | Robert Reich Social Security taxes are rigged for the rich — and the program is in danger because of it.A CEO earning $20M/yr pays Social Security taxes on ~1% of their i...

Republicans have used public concern about Social Security’s future solvency as a cynical excuse to demand cuts in benefits.

But Social Security could easily pay everything it will owe to everyone for the next 75 years if the cap on income subject to SS taxes were eliminated.

Let me explain.

Environ. polluters are famous for this! State-mandated cost-benefit analyses of proposed environmental regulations seem always 2 indicate cost of env/pub. health protections is ‘prohibitive’, while cost of health/env. harms 2 people and planet are minimized. Shameful! #PeopleOverProfits #NoMorePFAS

Editor’s Notebook: What we need is less ‘rich aid’ • New Hampshire Bulletin One of the big takeaways from Election Day in New Hampshire is that state Republican leaders have successfully convinced residents that taxes are bad.

“When we choose lawmakers who gleefully pay for business tax cuts but balk at making sure school kids are fed or otherwise directly investing in the general welfare, that tells us something about who we are, and who we value.” newhampshirebulletin.com/2024/11/19/e...

We have science-based, fed. proposed MCLs & the ability (yet not the will!) 2 introduce them into rulemaking. NH’s DES (focuses on permitting rather than on protection) chooses instead 2 “implement the new fed. MCLs in accordance w/ the requirements of the USEPA.”(thus, ongoing & unnecess. exposure)

When Republicans are in power, they rack up giant deficits, mainly by cutting taxes on corporations and the wealthy.

Then when Democrats take the reins, Republicans blame them for being big spenders.

It’s always the same story.

Dems r routinely & falsely targeted as being responsib. 4 high property taxes. In reality, Repub. sponsored tax breaks 4 business/wealthy, & using public tax $ for private/relig. school vouchers, downshift costs to NH property owners. The NH GOP has created this mess & higher property taxes 4 all.
