We are on this trajectory with the 20mph roll out in urban areas this year and more changes in design, including many towns and cities providing better active travel infrastructure. It is a long term project but we’re well on the way to achieving it

This walk never gets old. Out with Cassy 🐕🦺 and visiting family from the beach, through the harbour, up the Bervie Braes and along to @dunnottarcastle and back this morning. What a fantastically beautiful place to have on the doorstep. We are so lucky. #StunningStonehaven
☀️ Amazing sunny day in Brechin.
🌊 A far cry from during Storm Babet when the waters breached the flood defences on River Street in October 2023
⚠️ It’s vital that Brechin’s flood defences are improved to ensure there is no repeat.
📷 Getting ready to have my picture taken a lot more.
☀️ Perfect setting in Stirling today for Campaign away day with sessions on everything to come in the Holyrood election.
🗳️ Raring to go with the campaign!
Chart showing the projected change in proportion of children living in relative poverty across the UK. There is clear divergence between Scotland and the rest of the UK, especially England.
The Scottish Government has pursued a different social security agenda to the UK as a whole.
Projections suggest that child poverty in Scotland fell between 2022-23 and 2024-25, while it rose in England.
Under current policy assumptions, rates are projected to diverge further.
Thank you!! Much appreciated

I'm Scottish, and it's not really any of my business but it seems to me that things America needs are
1. Universal health care
2. Gun control
Things America doesn't need are
1. Kalaallit Nunaat / Greenland
2. Canada
Before the US election Republicans went into meltdown if Trump was called a fascist but 4 weeks after being elected he's demanding Anschluss with Canada, the military conquest of Greenland & the Panama Canal, the invasion of Mexico & opening "the gates of hell" on Gaza.
Sounds pretty damn fascist.
We're now at the point where it's no longer a question of whether Trump is mentally fit to be president. It's a question of locking him away in a secure mental facility for the protection of society.
NEW: Andrew Norfolk broke the grooming gang story, 15 years ago. His exclusive interview on today’s News Agents
is deeply powerful, not least for his anger about those political figures now exploiting it and the victims for their own purposes.
