Lucas and Max adopt a shelter dog and name him Digdug.

Lucas told Max he wanted her to teach him to skateboard. She was thrilled, he was terrified. She held his hands the whole time and the one time she let go, he wiped out and ate shit. Max bit her tongue to stop laughing bc Lucas whined for two hours that “i broke my ass max. you made me break my ass”

He rests his elbows on top of her head and leans on her. Lucas refers to her as being “pocket sized” and whenever she spends the night, he makes a point of wrapping her in blankets and picking her up like a baby

Lucas is half a foot taller than Max, and he Loves teasing her for it. Max does Not love being teased for it, but Lucas gets cute about it. He puts her on his shoulders when they go to concerts or something, he never complains about doing it either.

She is undefeated, except for One Time when Lucas managed to hit her with a blue shell right before the finish line. Max got 2nd place and Lucas had to run for his life and lock himself in the bathroom for 2 1/2 hours.

Lucas has nightmares about Erica and Max being friends. He simultaneously loves and hates how much his sister likes Max. Sometimes Max comes over just to hang out with Erica, and Lucas sits and pouts because “Erica, she’s my girlfriend”

Max CANNOT COOK. She is Not Allowed near the stove, she has caused So Many Fires. Lucas is the one that cooks. Max does all the prep work, but she cannot touch the stove or Lucas has to have the fire department on speed dial and he Will have a panic attack.

Whenever the kids are at Steve’s house and they go in the pool, Lucas and Max get Really Competitive about who can do better flips/jumps off the diving board. They’re super competitive in general, but Max is from California and she Loves Swimming, she is aggressive about being the Best in the party.

Lucas gave Max the Kate Bush cassette for her birthday. Max stole a lot of Lucas’s t-shirts while they were dating and when they were broken up (bc max didnt feel like she deserved love), Max wore Lucas’s shirts just so she could feel close to him without feeling like a burden.

No, Max didn’t go to any of Lucas’s games, BUT, in a better world where Max didn’t pull away from her friends, where everyone was happy: Max and Lucas play pick-up basketball games. Max is Short so she can’t dunk, but Lucas puts her on his shoulders so she can experience it.

Every time visiting hours are over and Lucas has to leave Max’s hospital room, he leans in and kisses her forehead and promises he’ll be back first thing in the morning. He goes to kiss her forehead one day and Max grabs onto his shirt — she’s awake!

An unexpected visit from a water sausage

One kid asks Eddie to take the training wheels off his bike. Eddie does. He also holds onto one of the handlebars and lets go when the kid builds up speed, learning to ride a bike for the first time. (Eddie won’t admit to crying with pride). (P3)

3rd graders learn the recorder & yeah they sound Terrible™️ but Eddie sits at the picnic bench outside with them while they practice. He plays guitar alongside them like they’re a band. They do little concerts and Eddie always cheers the loudest. (P2)
