For those who missed it: this was the moment The Strokes ensured they’ll never be invited back to Coachella again! I'm so proud of them

We were talking about his changing style across his lifetime. Beautiful comparator to an early sonatina she is learning. Dust of the rust! There’s enjoyment to be had in “not your best” playing, and you might discover you have new skills in correcting problems *this is an admission haha

Very true. Sent home with the task of listening to a sonata from n YouTube. Such incredible resources these days.

Oooh I haven’t seen either of those. Thank you. I’ll try to grab some time to check them out. A couple of my music film recommendations are Sound of Metal, & Once. Oh, and if you can stomach it, Whiplash (i am not like that, but the drive element & excellence is interesting). Worlds apart lol.

Sometimes i wonder if they listen. I’ve been banging on about beethoven for years. She’s played some. Just did not know moonlight sonata. I taught a kid Zara Larsson today. And personally had a nap with Nine Inch Noize blasting through my headphones. Music is extraordinary.

I referred to Gregorian chants to a 16 year old yesterday (i teach music), and she had nooooo idea. Granted, she also did not know who Beethoven was, so there’s much work to do.

Weird how we never hear things like "AUKUS is growing too fast for Australians to afford" or "negative gearing is growing too fast" or anything similar, huh

Also, agreed. I live in Newcastle. So much is needed. Rapid expansion. Same old problems.

I see. Town planners actually planning & being funded 1st is surely preferable.

Didn’t the US justify the Iran invasion bc of the persecution of Christians?
Doesn’t get much more persecuting than smashing Jesus’ skull with a sledgehammer.

Too late for that question. In all the places you mentioned the need already exists. Time for some cash investment.

Newcastle is growing but remains limited by lack of adequate infrastructure, esp public transport & healthcare/gp’s.
