Promise of £500m investment by ripping off customers.
The lack of contrition from Starmer’s current and former fans is quite something.
We warned over and over again for years that he would be a catastrophe.
You sneered, vilified and ignored those who were entirely correct.
And now you can’t even admit what you got wrong!

Why not put Faraday's cage on classrooms to block signals?
It's widely understood that the vast majority of people expelled on that basis were only guilty of supporting Palestinian rights or of simply being inconveniently left-wing, so if this is the best attack line they can come up with, they're cooked. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Starmer is not a decent person and this line of thought offends me more then the idea he is actually good politically.
The moral question was long since answered, Starmer wanted people to die of thirst. He is a monster.
I've read this and you will be staggered to learn that there is not one proposal here that would move the dial back in Labour's favour by one millimetre and not one sentence that indicates they actually understand what the root causes of the problems are. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
Mahmood is vile
"Elsewhere ... Mahmood was heckled by a man who said he wanted to "personally thank you for out-reforming Reform", while two other people chanting "refugees welcome" as he was dragged out.
The Home Secretary reportedly replied: "Fuck off, mate."

Reform UK’s Richard Tice allegedly failed to pay £100k corporation tax.
He ran 4 shell companies that reportedly didn't pay tax on profits from 2020 to 2022, when his firm donated £1.1m to party. Also used a trust in Jersey.
Claims tax non-payment was due to an error ... but six years elapsed.
We’re tapping into patriotic old Labour,” he says. “We’re tapping into Brexit-y old Labour. We’re tapping into areas where community still means a huge amount to these people. Where family may be more fractured than it used to be. “And the commonest thing people will say is, ‘We’ve always been Labour but not any more’ … and these are people, as I say, they’ve been tempted before. Ukip was tempting. The Brexit Party was tempting. Quite a few in 2019 were tempting. But this suddenly feels to me like it’s clicking.”

Starmer promised to restore rectitude to the British government when elected.
So far he has pretty much failed to deliver that in every department. His decisions generally lead to ambiguous perplexity.
Like @zackpolanski.bsky.social says, the least Starmer can do is take responsibility and go.
Telegraph newspaper editorial on Mandelson's appointment in December 2024 versus editorial today
When I wrote this I thought it was disgusting that so many Labour functionaries believe themselves entitled to a peerage as a retirement benefit. Now we discover they wanted to give the grim little man an embassy! www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...
The original sin of Starmerism is what will now destroy it.
The Labour Party was taken over by a cynical, dishonest faction with no moral compass.
How they operated in the party is how they operated in government.
Starmer was just their convenient frontman.
You can actually see the moment Ed Miliband thinks, what's the point burning through whatever political credibility I've got left energetically defending a man who's going to be gone in a matter of weeks.
This has been Starmer's modus operandi since day one.
Who can forget him trying to sack Angela Rayner for the Hartlepool by-election defeat in 2021?
There's always someone else to blame with Starmer.
This is more than just a story about local corruption in Croydon
It highlights just how easy it was to rig the system that was used to select many Labour candidates for the 2024 election
In Croydon they got caught but, given all the complaints about Anonyvoter, did some get away with it elsewhere?
When we were in the Shadow Cabinet together, I said to the Prime Minister about Mandelson: "Distance yourself from this fellow. Don't touch him with a barge pole. He's toxic."
It's not really good enough to blame the process. This is about judgment.
the labour right? giving important jobs to their mates in exchange for services rendered? Perish the thought!
Michael Crick • @MichaelLCrick X.com In two to three years time, when Starmer and his government are no doubt deeply unpopular, I hope we in the media will ask ourselves: "Why were we so supine during the long 2024 election; why didn't we hold Labour properly to account while we could, and ask more probing questions, and explore their records, rather than give them such an easy ride?"
I think we can see the reason for this is the same as any number of abysmal scandals at all kinds of major British institutions: Nobody wants to go lifting rocks because of the very high risk that moving one of them will send a geyser of scalding hot corruption leaping two hundred feet into the air.
