One of the many weird research done by writers: how do you knock somebody out safely?
Surely the 70's tv show way of knocking somebody out with a slap behind the neck isn't a real thing. So if you were to knock somebody out realistically, wouldn't you have to really hurt them?

I’ve read the first one, liked the premise, but did not enjoy the book. I’ve got all the books though except the second one, that’s partly why I’ve never pushed on
