I got my wish but feel so blessed to work here. My classroom is the top left room, once a very large bedroom. Cold as a tomb but it’s a stunning school and grounds.

I’m in denial about work tomorrow and it’s put me in a mood. I just need to grab the laptop, get under my duvet and crack on. One more coffee first, and maybe a film. The feeling sucks. ☹️

Dozens of books from my 16 yo since he was little, nuts and bolts from the garage to make iron man robots. Mostly it’s stuff for the staff though: cups and plates for the staffroom, and I even bought 2 microwaves recently as we had no budget for it. Jigsaw puzzles too- we always have one on the go.

Every single school should have a library & a librarian, to help every single child find the books that will make them readers, and give them all the lifelong benefits of literacy. Libraries & librarians change children's lives FOREVER!

Yes! Cuppa and a think 🤔 for half an hour. Usually followed by more work to try and alleviate the anxiety that permeates my dreams.

I’m not wanting to bring my moans here but sheesh, being a department lead as well as a parent of a high needs child is blooming hard sometimes. 😕 I just hope my hard work is making some difference.
