Very rewarding late autumn #somersetbirding today. Little Stint Cheddar Res, 1w Little Gull Hinkley Pt, Glossy Ibis Durleigh Res, Scaup Long Drove and a family group of 6 Whooper Swan Noah’s Lake.

Another good bird at Cheddar Res this morning. A worn plumaged Temminck’s Stint was creeping about with a Dunlin in the bay west of Cheddar Tower. Obligatory ropey scope pic #somersetbirding

Late yesterday evening a juv Red-necked Phalarope joined the 3 Greys at Cheddar Res. I.d. confirmed this morning. Gets on the central weedy spits and best viewed from south side. #somersetbirds

5 new Black-necked Grebes at Cheddar Res this morning, all showing signs of summer plumage. The 3 long-staying birds were also present.
