tbf I think I've had covid like three times during that span and moved and changed jobs and been doing three people's jobs at work the whole time, so it's honestly a miracle I am writing at all

D&D was moved! More time to write. My first draft was ~48k and the goal is to get it to 70-75k. Which is hard! But I've got a plan, and I've made it to 58k ish tonight (another 780 words since this morning!). PROGRESS.

631 more words between work this morning and I've run out of steam. Gonna pick it up again after D&D tonight. My players have a party to infiltrate at a mansion!

Friday and I have games tonight + had an absolutely batshit bananas day at work. 643 words.

(I do have notes about some stuff to add. This is just the hard stretch! 15-19k to go.)

It's D&D night.

My goal is another 18-22k which sounds both terrifying and achievable somehow now

So I’m BACK ON MY BS. I added ~500 words to the draft Monday and another 1,800 tonight. Finally feeling like the writers block might finally leave me alone for a little while 😭😭😭🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Me: this is great because Becca is a professional editor AND knows nothing about hockey, so she can tell me if things don't make sense

Me: what is Becca getting out of this

I did the math:

1.5k/week = 20 weeks
1k/week = 30 weeks
1.5k/5 days/week = 4 weeks
1k/5 days/week = 6 weeks

Anyway we bumped writer's club to two days a week instead of once a week, starting next week. Becca and I are going to swap drafts when we hit specific goals.

Writer's club is coming along (finally hit 50k, goal is 75-80k) despite one of the cats SABOTAGING me all night by trying to steal and/or climb inside a whole bag of chips and getting mad at me every time I stopped her

we pretty much just are silent unless we need help. The idea is to keep each other accountable and write for 1-2 hours

#AmReWriting, added 1,500ish words to the draft today (after removing many) and finally hit 59k! The goal is ~75kish and Becca and I have reinstated writer's club, which will help a lot.

I moved, I got hella sick, and I am BACK AT IT.

anyway if you're wondering why I vanished off the internet on this account, it's because all I've done since october is look at places / buy a place / declutter / pack / disassemble furniture etc etc etc

and I read 426 books in 2024, so there is that, too

I am not moving _far_, but the last time I moved was 14 years ago and it was a lot cheaper and easier back then. Also, I have accumulated Too Much Stuff. I've gotten rid of so much and YET.
