This is just horrific. The gender critical movement along with the British press bullied her out of her job at the NHS and now they doxed her after she fled the country and are continuing the harassment and defamation. These people are absolute monsters.

Episode with Peter Capaldi, teenage heartthrob. The Doctor and Bill Potts are standing around the TARDIS console, the Doctor fiddling with controls, Bill wearing a truly excellent multicolored top. Captions read, “I told you. You don’t steer the TARDIS, you reason with it.” “How?” “Unsuccessfully, most of the time…”

Oh, MPs in the UK were absolutely open about this being the reason! Them and their buddies in real estate would lose money if office space was emptied and it was our practically or sacred duty to help rich people. 😁

Did you know: there’s a one-off Batman villain named “Doctor Doom” that predates the Fantastic Four by a decade? Do you think Robert Downey Jr is actually playing this guy?

I learned recently that it’s an insult in Germany to call someone “hobbyless” or to engage in “hobbyless behavior” and it’s become my favorite way to think of assholes who have nothing better to do than to make other people miserable. Get a hobby. Build a model train and calm down.

22.00 FILM: EVRI-THING, EVRI-WHERE ALL AT ONCE
Award-winning multiverse adventure where your parcel is somehow at the depot, in transit, in your safe place, left with a neighbour, delayed, returned to send, in your green bin, all at the same time - but never actually with you.

It's pretty much fallen out of fashion now in favour of just saying "at," which I think is a shame, but the Dutch for @ used to be "apenstaartje," which literally translates to "little monkey's tail"

As ever, do with this information what you will

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. Young ensign Wesley Crusher (the boy) sits at a console on the bridge, but he's turned around like he's having a talk with safe and trustworthy adult who has walked up behind him. He looks sincere and earnest, as if it's a 'very special episode of Star Trek.' He's wearing his blue and blue and gold and red and blue again Wesley sweater, which is not a bad look, tbh. Closed caption reads, "drugs can make you feel good."

My anti-vax "all medicine is a conspiracy" sister in law had breast cancer. Got conventional treatment, is in remission and now says the treatment that saved her didn't do anything, it was the Echinacea etc that she did that cured her. It's beyond frustrating.

Why didn't Spider-Man turn into a spider and crawl out from under the machine? Comics are dumb.

Star Trek The Original Series scene. We're in a CORRIDOR! A room door is open, and we see two crewmen spilling out into the hallway in red and blue uniforms. They are otherwise indecipherable tho because they are entirely enveloped in a big cloud of smoke. It's pouring out all around them and into the hallway area, like there's a Phish concert in there. Closed caption reads, "[COUGHING]"

you know what would be funny? if a weather person named mary said to “expect hail” & then the anchorman could wittily reply “hail, mary?” & then the other anchorman could look @ the camera & say “that’s what she said” & then i would say to myself “send post” & then

A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....
