They're just little guys. You can look at them for free and you can look at them up close if you pay for Bird Premium (binoculars or camera). They're just doing behaviors. They will never email you.

Oh my God. 🚨🚨🚨
If not for Trump, what's the emoluments clause for? What's impeachment for? What's the 25th Amendment for? What's section 3 of the 14th Amendment for? What are checks and balances for?
The baddies are cherrypicking the Constitution the same way they do the bible: for their own benefit.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has signed an executive order banning state employees from using insider info to bet on prediction market apps like Kalshi and Polymarket, warning the unregulated boom “opens the door to insider trading and abuse.”
Good people and good deeds matter. In all the turmoil let us not forget that rare and wonderful feeling of changing someone’s life because you said, “I’ll help.” Thanks, Norm and all the people in communities everywhere who stood up for their neighbors.
flipping through a proof of yet another book from a somewhat well known liberal voice diagnosing “where the left went wrong” and i’m struck, again, by the fact that a large part (if not most) of the liberal commentariat simply does not believe that the political right has agency.
“I used AI to combine the data from two excel lists and then send emails to people who were on one list but not another. Saved me so much time.”
My brother in academia, you just fucking discovered mail merge. Welcome to early nineties computing.
“Over on Twitter, they’re” shhhhh. Shhh.
Shh.
Turns out the phrase “America First” is preceded by the words “Sell Out.”
the best (worst) thing is, this could refer to several posts.
Dismantling Voice of America was one of the most devastating things I’ve witnessed. VOA wasn’t propaganda, it was proof that free press could criticize its own leaders and still survive. And now we’re throwing away one of our greatest tools of freedom.
ProPublica obtained a vast cache of IRS information showing how billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk pay little in income tax compared to their massive wealth — sometimes, even nothing.

Christ, I was in Latin class in *high school* translating the poems of Catullus. I’d post an excerpt, but wouldn’t want to risk violating BlueSky terms of service.
This is exactly right. It’s not a dilemma though. It’s a line in the sand that will at once once collapse what remains of the rule of law and regulatory infrastructure designed to protect the public.
This is a snapshot of the failure of MSM and the concomitant ignorance within the American electorate about what is happening in and to their country.
advertising technology in the 1990s: look at this “website” you can “surf”. it has an image of a cat on it
advertising technology in the 2020s: you must adopt this now or die. we are going to completely kill you if you don’t download this app immediately
Free speech absolutism.
A suggestion (and congrats!!). Data privacy & weaponization is leaving people defenseless against big tech, governmental surveillance and exploitation of private data for profit/marketing. Maybe talk to @eff.org and @wired.com, and/or Mark Frauenfelder at Institute for the Future? Use of Signal etc.

In a nutshell. 😊
i think people have a right to expect that leadership figures go back to hiding their drug and alcohol usage and posing as dignified professionals
Nailed it!
🤣
This "president" has said nothing-- NOTHING-- about eight kids killed in a mass shooting in Louisiana today. Ages range from 1 year to 14 years. Children.
And they rate not a single comment.
I detest that bucket of filth and the way he's lowered the bar for all.

The average person doesn’t give a fuck if AI has some niche use where it actually excels if used properly. In fact, that is what a tool is *supposed* to do and none of us will have a problem if it is used like that. What we see is AI fucking up real life in a massive way.
Recall the Supreme Court held there was a constitutional right to stand on a public sidewalk and scream homophobic rants at a soldier's funeral as long as you're a bunch of right-wing religious freaks, but apparently it's a crime to stand on a public sidewalk and smirk while Black.
This is my personal preference for my own funeral.
Ironic that when a woman saves an entire news organization, the news still can't bother to put her name in the headline. What year is it, again?
Browsing this company's website and the only way I can describe what I'm seeing is imagine a school shooter was a management consultant
Your phone will never take a good photo of the moon except for this one rare exception.
Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
