Great program for anyone considering a postdoc at VBC 🍃
Congratulations to the brilliant scientists shortlisted for the auditions @cnrs.fr for cell bio dev bio and evo-devo #section24!
Looking forward to hearing you in a few weeks.
Many other amazing candidates were no less deserving and we hope to see them next year.

An amazing opportunity and a really cool project to work on! :D
New paper from my lab out in NAR. We found that young L1 elements are controlled by SETDB1 and H3K9me3 in human neural progenitor cells via a mechanism independent of HUSH and TRIM28/KZNFs.

It is finally out! If you are interested in TE-derived CREs, and newly described, but evolutionary old KZFP-TE mechanistic modalities, read it at www.cell.com/cell-reports....
Thankful to everyone who took part in this work, namely @orpsf.bsky.social and other @trono-lab.bsky.social members. 🫀🧬✨
Do you have an exciting new chromatin/transcription story that you'd like to share with the #FN community?
Fill out this form to be considered for a talk in our Jan-June 2026 schedule! forms.gle/TBi38UgYxPAB...

Lab’s first paper is out!! We show the first structures of #Asgard #chromatin by #cryo-EM 🧬❄️
Asgard histones form closed and open hypernucleosomes. Closed are conserved across #Archaea, while open resemble eukaryotic H3–H4 octasomes and are Asgard-specific. More here: www.cell.com/molecular-ce...
🌟Im happy to share that this winter I'll be starting my lab at the Wallenberg Center for Molecular Medicine at Umeå University! Excited to join the Department of Medical and Translational Biology as a Wallenberg Fellow and looking forward to new collaborations and cool transposon research 🤩 🧬
Congrats Vivien! 🤗✨️
