A detailed black-and-white illustration of a large street demonstration in a 19th-century city. A crowd fills the wide road, with a group at the front carrying a large banner stretched between poles. Behind them, a long line of people marches down the street while spectators gather along both sidewalks. Many men wear hats and coats typical of the era, and some stand in the foreground watching the procession. Multi-storey buildings line both sides of the street, with shopfronts and windows facing the crowd. The scene appears busy and energetic, with dense clusters of people extending far into the distance along the roadway.
