Itâs such a great city. Have you gone up to Montjuic already? I used to live in Poble Sec, the neighborhood surrounding the mountain.

the reason we have this platform at all, or smartphones or modern CPUs or half the things you rely on online is because of trans people and we need to work harder at protecting and uplifting them and not supporting transphobe platforms, people and politicians
A form with my last name, which includes a blank space between two words because thatâs what spanish last names look like, and an error message that says âThe last name field allows only letters and the following characters (-) and must begin and end with a letterâ
I guess this is a good time to bring this old blog post back: www.kalzumeus.com/2010/06/17/f...

Did you write this while we were in standup? đ§
Fuck Harry Potter just read discworld. It's a fantastical world of magical creatures and adventure but the author has class consciousness and knows how to write comedy that isn't just making fun of how fat a character is
Nothing like a divorce to make you reconsider all those cables youâve been hoarding for two decades.
Will I ever need 5 hdmi cables in my new 1 bedroom apartment? đ§
Yesterday was my last day at Deno.
From today, I'll be cheering the talented team on from outside the org.
This also means that I'm now considering my next move in the DX/DevRel/Technical marketing space.
Congratulations!
we're reach the state of every company when you need to have the talk about `ah-mi` vs `eh-em-ai`
Me to claude: Write a gha workflow to do this very specific thing
Claude: done
Me again: Review your changes looking for things that wonât work on gha
Claude: ugh, yeah, these things wonât work
If the machines cannot write gha functional workflows at first try, what chance do we mere mortals have?
I had one on Friday and it was delicious
I donât have a stomach nor an esophagus
A screenshot from a twitter dm email notification from @rafa.design to me on May 2, 2016. The message says âJust checking in, love the product, maybe I can helpâ
I completely forgot that we hired @rafa.design at Netlify after he slid into my twitter dms almost a decade ago now. âMaybe I can helpâ is probably the understatement of the decade.
Made the cover of @acm.org with "A Decade of Docker Containers", recapping much systems work! Docker grew so fast in those early days that we never got a chance to write an academic paper about it, so this has been a long time coming cacm.acm.org/research/a-d... w/ @justincormack.bsky.social djs55
having no idea what Cloudflare wants to do with this, Iâd say the main difference here is that their matrix or mastodon research projects didnât give the company a path to take significant amounts of revenue away from a competitor, while this does.
Idle thoughts on how to communicate in the ongoing marketing catastrophe, with an example showing how you can write software on your phone. blog.exe.dev/show-dont-tell
your under-provisioned and poorly configured CI system is staring down at you and laughing at your "AI productivity gains"
I have a really hard time understanding how a website can go downhill so quick that not even the most basic things that have been working for 15 years work anymore
I own several of their cameras and a lock and their integration with homekit is really nice, I have not had any issues in years.
I've been looking at the doorbell for a while, but nobody really comes to our house and rings the current one, so it's kinda pointless to even have one XD
I built something like this at Netlify. When our systems received a specific request header, all services involved in serving that request would enable debug logs for that specific request. Our support team used it all the time to inspect customer traffic. It was a game changer to diagnose problems.
I cannot endorse this more. Every week that I go to volunteer at the shelter, my mood completely lifts for a day or two.
This is good read about the state of open source and AI. Unfortunately, I'm skeptic about GitHub doing something to make things better. So far, their latest changes in PRs, splitting large PRs in one page per file(WTF), make reviewing code generated by AI worse, no better đ¤ˇââď¸
A decade ago, I built a chrome extension to help me with that same problem, itâs been broken for years. Even though there have been improvements in the notifications ui, itâs never designed for heavy read usage. I kinda started missing Octobox recently. chromewebstore.google.com/detail/githu...
