After an amazing First Lines Workshop, I am hosting another low-cost workshop, this one is "Writing the Best Query Letter." It involves teaching the Book, The Hook, and the Cook method, and everyone who attends will have their query letter workshopped.

Yeah so I'm at a bookstore and my husband said his phone wasn't working so when I couldn't find him I screamed out "What's the worst that I could say!" expecting his usual response except he was in the bathroom so the entire store went completely silent so yeah that happened
Just a reminder, I have a few more spots left in this low-cost workshop. I keep these costs only at what I need to keep them running.
Please feel free to inquire. They're $10 and super interactive.
If I learned my microwave sometimes froze my food instead of heating it, was poisoning my neighbor's house, stole food from other ppls fridges, and used way more electricity than microwaves should, I wouldn't use it??
I am extremely honored to say my hybrid poem/speculative story "chimera" has been accepted for publication in FLASH IN THE COURT in August. I'm beyond thrilled and can't wait to share this piece I love so much with you. ♥️
After many requests, I'm finally putting together this hour-long workshop on how to put together the best opening lines for a novel to hook your readers and an agent. Spots are limited since I like to really interact with my students, please DM me or reply for your spot!
A major horror writer just posted that he thought his novel that involved a lot of rape deserved to make a woman uncomfortable because it was "transgressive".
I'm just going to say it: Male horror authors who revel in the discomfort they cause by SA in their novels are a problem. And they are mainstream. And revered.
when my beta reader uses my CHRISTIAN NAME because the shock factor is too great
If you haven't watched the speculative short film "Please Hold", I can't recommend it enough. It was Nominated for the Academy Awards in 2025 and rocked my world.

So I finally sat down and read "In My Country" by Thomas Ha and to say I was moved by this piece is really an understatement. I consider this a must-read for anyone living in 2026.
I was asked to give my thoughts on generative AI usage in games - here they are!
Now I know she's really busy, but you know who would be a really badass incarnation of the Doctor #doctorwho
God put the rainbow over the flood as proof that he was releasing gays into the world and was never going to flood it again 🌈
why do we even have gender on our licenses?
why does it matter?
I'm a Ravens fan and we have matching dual rings. Does that mean we're meant to be?
Kansas made trans people's driver's licenses invalid. they've taken away their ability to drive overnight.
doesn't this bother everyone? what if they took Christians drivers licences away? or being an eagles fan?
disagreement doesn't mean you can take away someone's rights
you don't want to argue the ethics of AI? cool
I just think you're a loser because you want to be a "writer" or an "artist" without developing any basic art or writing skills
you're lazy
I don't want to see your shit and nobody else does either
oh no tyra my sister was killed by a winning lottery ticket, mani pedis, and a shopping spree at neiman marcus
So I'm not on Facebook a lot, but let me get this straight: They're literally creating images saying these things to the public eye and blaming the left so that if you think them you're one of them.
Is this "thoughtcrime" 1.0?
