going to an “elder emo disco”. It’s emo, but, like, for elder millennials so it’s 4pm - 8pm so we can get home in time for a cup of tea and an early night

it’s not a phase, mom

The Witcher as an Ironsworn Character If you want to use Ironsworn to explore the Witcher-universe or play the role of a similar monster-hunting character, let's take a look at some character assets that fit the archetype.

Ironsworn does it so well the author wrote a post about modelling Geralt:

Fell off doing this when life got a bit busy around moving house, but I’d love to come back for this season!

I need to order some reading glasses so I can meaningfully interact with my #MagicTheGathething collection again. I’ve got some cards to file and I can’t read the bloody set numbers #gettingOld

Finished my first hand-drawn #2d6dungeon floor; I don’t think Dyson Logos has anything to worry about just yet…

One mistake made, there’s two copies of a unique room which I didn’t notice until later. I also continued exploring after placing the stairs down, which I’m not sure is allowed RAW.

just noticed I've got two room elevens and no thirteen, sack the cartographer. This is what you get trying to draw a map one-handed by lantern light with a quill and ink

played my first dungeon floor in "2D6 Dungeons" using the demo version over the last two evenings and it was great; definitely going to pick up the full book. Mapped it using dungeonscrawl.com but I'm going to go analogue next time :)

Your games (and it looks like IS2e) are *so* diegetic that I’d love some bold or underline or something. I think because “if you’re in a favored situation…” works on two levels (fiction, mechanics) a little nudge when mechanics are kicking in would be handy.

Tried to buy one, but no shipping to the UK — totally understandable, I work in e-commerce and know how horrible costs & paperwork are between US & UK are at the moment!

Just to say — prices seem fine for original art! 👍

It took me months, about 495 rides, recovering from a shattered right foot and hacking a folding scooter, but I finally own a Nintendo Switch 2 using points obtained from Citi Bike. Afterwards, it left me questioning the very nature of work. For @aftermath.site.

Haven’t used Bluesky in about 4 months. Haven’t been posting anything, anywhere, outside of a couple of Discord servers; cut right back on The Internet. Instead I’ve been keeping an increasingly sprawling journal / PKMS, just for myself. It’s been kind of incredible, actually?

New episode of my current favourite podcast, Starship Alexandria with @emmanewman.bsky.social and @aptshadow.bsky.social (Adrian Tchaikovsky). Going to delay listening to this one for a day or two though, I’m only halfway through the book.

didn’t they read the empire/faction sections of Sundered Isles? It’s not subtext. The text is right there.

HOMEWORK MACHINE

The Homework Machine, oh the Homework Machine
Most perfect contraption that's ever been seen.
Just put in your homework, then drop in a dime,
Snap on the switch, and in ten seconds' time,
Your homework comes out, quick and clean as can be.
Here it is — "nine plus four?" and the answer is "three."
Three?
Oh me ...
I guess it's not as perfect
As I thought it would be.

The most important thing is you’ve realised you have a problem (with Big Data surveillance) and now you can take steps to do something about it (stop using points card, pay with cash)

I'll never get over how the best line in all of noir – "I've got eight slugs in me. One's lead, and the rest are bourbon" – doesn't come from Raymond Chandler or Dashiell Hammett, but Calvin and Hobbes

I really want to play some Elder Scrolls Online. I haven’t touched it for a few weeks, besides claiming my login goodies. Want to get Wrothgar wrapped up before the new content patch hits consoles in a few weeks time.

I added some vinyl text to this banner outside my local Sainsburys a few years ago. Stayed up for about 12 hours before they took the whole thing down
