Tomodachi made me completely forget I was playing fire emblem

People say they “acnh’d it” which isn’t untrue but I feel like the difference was new horizons gave the player godlike power and turned a life sim into a designer sim

Tomodachi at its core always had you playing god, and now you’re a more powerful god. I don’t think it takes away from the game.

I feel like a lot of criticisms of the new Tomodachi are somewhat valid but most of them are focusing on what’s missing and ignoring what’s added, it doesn’t have “less content than the original” if they added equal if not more content lol

i guess i just need a simpler fighting game with auto combos and shit, cuz im always horrible at any game without something like that (strive, mvc3, any fighting game released before 2010)

okay i was being stubborn about not using them but modern controls in street fighter 6 are actually a game changer for me it feels like I can actually do stuff in online battles even if i still lose, like it doesnt feel nearly as pathetic as when i play classic controls

It’s a platform for gaming first and foremost, and that’s something that big tech companies seem to not understand. Vr will never take off for general use because it’s absolute best used for video games

Majority of 2d platformers allow both because majority of 2d platformers stick to 2 button controls that are easy to swap between, but something like Mario odyssey definitely uses B to jump as the standard and that goes for most Nintendo games I play

Steam frame is my only hope to save us atp cuz the idea of a standalone headset that didn’t need a pc was amazing and the quest was a brilliant piece of tech before meta killed it with short updates no one asked for and prioritizing an awful roblox clone

I am so mad that vr has been lumped in with ai bitcoin shit because of the failed metaverse, I love vr and the potential it brings to gaming but ever since meta tried to capitalize on it and turn into “more than JUST a gaming platform” the vr industry has been pretty dead in the water

To be fair, the 20 dollar upgrades are always more expansion pack dlcs with new content, the ones that are 90% performance and visuals are 5-10 dollars

Also directs are a massive promotional boost, cuz EVERYONE watches them

It’s moreso that this is stuff they would’ve filled up a direct with previously which pretty much confirms not to expect one anytime soon, my guess is they’re gonna reveal the fire emblem release date on a random Tuesday as well and then in like June we get the direct after Yoshi has released

It’s still effectively a gender selection tbh, but the differences are very minuscule. It would be true abolishment if they let you choose voice independently i think but im not losing sleep over it
